Chapter 6

Casio stood behind Shay and she fell to the floor. Blood was all over her living room area. "Nooooo," I screamed as I dropped to my knees. I cried because I now knew what it was to have a snake in your circle.  I cried and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. Shay had turned on me. It was crazy what money made you do.

When I got home I took a shower and scrubbed all of Shay's blood off of me. I cried in the shower as I remembered all of the memories we shared together. I got out of the shower and got straight into my bed. Who would I tell all my secrets to now, who would I cry with, and clown with? Shay had left a mark on my heart.

Shay's funeral was a week later and it broke my heart into a million pieces. I sat on the second row next to my mother. She was devastated because she had practically raised Shay as her own. Shay's mother was crying hysterically as she pleaded to God to give her her daughter back. Truth be told, Shay was not coming back. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. I gave my condolences to her mother at the repast and I immediately left. It hurt my heart to know someone I loved dearly had left me and betrayed me. My mother stayed and comforted Shay's mother. I cried as the driver opened the car door for me to enter. I couldn't believe she was gone. I died on the inside. I cried all the way home. I
cried because my life was falling apart.

My father was keeping me away from the love of my life and I had just lost someone special. What was next to come for me?

Roman

My sit down with my brother was a win situation. He informed me that he had just recently met with Josiah Blackwell and he was his new connect. That meant I was closer to ending the Black Cartel. José told me he would give me a call the next time Josiah was to meet with him, so he could be there as well. That day would come and Josiah would not leave Puerto Rico breathing. I had let him know that Rome had a thing for him and he that it would have to end.

I left Puerto Rico satisfied and when I returned home Rome was awaiting me infront of my study.

Rome

The scores were set and my father could not take over my life. I was sick of him telling me what I could and could not do. He walked into his study and loosened his tie. I closed the door behind me and sat in a chair infront of his desk. "You lied to me all this time. You had me murdering people in the Black Cartel only because they killed people in the Mafia," I spat. "They take one from me, I take three from them," he said with a stern look. "It never was my intention to cause beef or chaos with the Black Cartel! They wanted what I built and I could not let that happen! All I know is that Josiah Blackwell is someone you cannot be with because he will kill you if you tell him who you are. I have hurt so many people close to him that killing you would be the perfect solution for him to see me weak and then take over my territory!" he said with fire in his eyes. "So that's what it's about?! TERRITORY?!" I screamed. "I am done with this conversation Rome, leave my study," he said calmly. I stood to leave and said "I am not myself because I am you and I'm done playing these childish ass games on your terms. I'm grown and I am done with the mafia," I said with with anger written on my face. "YOU ARE THE MAFIA ROME," my father said with bitterness dripping from every word. "I'm leaving tomorrow, and if a hair on Siah's head is touched, I will personally wreak havoc on the entire mafia with no remorse," I hissed. And remember Roman, I am the target, so always observe me, " I said as I turned to leave. "Rome you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Josiah Blackwell's head will be delivered to YOU personally on a silver platter! MARK MY WORDS ROME," he screamed. "I will end you, & finish what you started," I said as I walked out of his study and going directly to my room. My father was an evil man but I had learned everything from him so I was just as evil.
