Chapter 7

Siah

My NY territory was slowly crumbling and I needed to figure out a plan. I still needed to see what was up with José. Shit went left and I needed to give him a personal visit. I was scheduled to meet with tomorrow.

Roman

Smelling the pure air of Puerto Rico, I stepped off of my jet. I was on a mission and it was to take the life of Josiah Blackwell. He was soon to arrive tomorrow and I would wait. I arrived at José's mansion and we embraced eachother. José was game to ending Josiah and was down on the plan.

Rome

After spending a couple of nights at Siah's new estate, I decided to come home. I didn't want to see my father but I knew I needed to stay on him. When I entered the estate, I went straight to my fathers study. "He is not here señorita," my mom said from behind me. He went to Puerto Rico to visit José," she said kissing my cheek. My moms voice dripped with a thick Hispanic tone. I smiled and went to my room. My father went to see my uncle twice in one month. He never met with a connect more than once in a month. He was up to something and I would find out.

Siah had surprised me with a movie date and even cooked for me. "Why are you being so nice to me baby," I said cooing in his ear. "Because you're my lady and also because I'm going to Puerto Rico tomorrow with Todd on a business trip and I need you to hold things down while I'm gone," he said smiling and kissing my neck. My heart dropped in my stomach and it felt like I couldn't breathe. "P-p-Puerto Rico for what babe?" I stammered. "Ro, why does it look like you've just seen a ghost, I'm only going for a few days I'll be back before you know it," he said trying to convince me. I now knew why my father was in Puerto Rico. He was about to set Siah up and have him killed. I could not let Siah leave for Puerto Rico. He wouldn't come back alive. "Papi why can't you just stay with me and go to Puerto Rico another time," I say with Hispanic accent. Siah loved when I sounded this way. "Ma, as much as I would love to stay with you I gotta handle business with my connect. Plus Todd is coming with me and you know he needs this getaway to get away from all that crazy shit about Shay. A sharp pain hit my heart. Shay still had a soft spot on my heart. I looked into Siah's eyes and held back the tears that were nearly spilling. "Ma, don't cry. I'll be back before you know," he said wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my forehead. If I let Siah leave and go to Puerto Rico, someone I loved would end up six feet under. I had to come up with a plan.

Shay's mom worked for the New York Airport, and I needed her to make it seem to Siah that his flight to Puerto Rico was cancelled.

Siah

I was packed and ready to go by 6:40AM. My flight would leave at 7:30, so I was making pretty good timing. I picked Todd up and drove to the airport thinking of how my meeting with Jose would go. Once we got our luggage checked I went to the help desk to see what was taking so long for us to board our flights. "Excuse me, how long will it be until the flight to Puerto Rico is ready to be boarded?" I'm sorry sir, but the flight to Puerto Rico has been delayed until tomorrow for further notice. "Tomorrow? What the fuck!? I have an important meeting. Are there any other flights to Puerto Rico that leaves today?!" No, Sir there aren't any. On behalf on the airline company we'll issue a disbursement and once your flight is no longer delayed, you'll be able to fly free."
"FUCK!" I said as I banged my fist on the table. I went back to where I was sitting to let Todd know the flight had been delayed. I knew I should have went with my first mind and flew in my private jet but my father said it would be better to take a public flight so I could blend in and look regular. Todd had his headphones blasting, so I tapped his shoulder. He took them off. "Yo?" he said turning around. "Our flight is delayed, so let's get the fuck up outta here," I said before going get my luggage. Once we left the airport I could have sworn I saw Rome's BMW speed out of the parking garage but I decided against it. I dropped Todd off and went straight to my NY estate. Rome was in the kitchen with a bra and panty set I bought her a couple of weeks ago. "Hey baby" she said while kissing me on the lips. "Why are you back so soon?" Our flight was delayed until tomorrow, so I'm just going to reschedule the meeting for another day. "Well, you must be hungry. I can cook up some breakfast for you."
I nodded my head yes while going into my office to call Jose to let him know my flight was cancelled.

Rome
I was so happy that his flight was delayed purposely. I couldn't risk him going to Puerto Rico. I would love to see the look on my fathers face once he found out Siah would not be coming to Puerto Rico. It felt good to be one step ahead of him although in the pit of stomach it felt like I was in a war with him. I had a small camera in Siah's office so I could watch and listen to everything he talked about privately. I wish I didn't have to keep tabs on him, but that was ultimately the only way I could keep him safe.
