Chapter 20 - The Finishing Act

I'm sad to say that this will be the last chapter! But fear not, I have another awesome story ready to be written! I'm sorry if there's a few grammatical mistakes in there, I was veeery tired when I wrote this.

"Are you sure we're driving in the right direction?.." Kyungsoo asked with a nervous tone to Chen who was driving at full speed.
"And maybe you shouldn't drive this fast, we can't have an accident now!" Kai yelled with a worried but serious look upon his face.
"We do not have the time to end up on t--"

-"Shut up!" Chen suddenly yelled looking back at the couple for a second, to cut off Kai and Kyungsoo. And with that it was just silent in the car, dead silent. All were just listening to the wheels dragging them across the asphalt.
"..Sorry, I just don't want to end up being too late.. And to see Luhan dead.." Chen spoke with a low voice, he regretted yelling at them like that, but he just couldn't control his feelings. His mind was in another place, he was too worried about the situation.
-"You can't help it Chen.. We all are worried.." Xiumin spoke up to comfort his lover, but it didn't really help him much.

"I'm sure it's this way.." Chen mumbles, but before he reached to speak another word, a deer ran across the road, startling them all. Chen screamed on the top of his lungs together with the others as he stomped down on the brake, making the wheel screech across the ground as the car took a 360 turn. They just sat there in shock for a moment before the two in the back groaned in pain, taking themselves to the head.
Chen quickly looked back at them, asking if they were hurt. But the shook their heads.
"We just hit our heads together.." Kai said to assure Chen that they weren't that hurt. But Chen couldn't help himself but apologize a few times, he had it difficult.. They all had. They never hoped for something like this to happen.
"Let's get going Chen.. But a bit slower.. We are only alright cause something wants us to help the two, we shouldn't play with the destiny again." Xiumin applied with a softly spoken voice, even though he was quite shocked by the sudden deer even.

-"..Remember we used to call Luhan, deer?" Xiumin suddenly spoke again, as they hit the road with a slower pace. The others kept silent, having a tight feeling in their chests.
"I hope I can come to call him that again, in a good situation.." He continued, and finally the others agreed with him, with small voices and nods.

And then the abandoned factory came to sight, in the distance of the dead night.
"T-There.." Chen said, he was beginning to feel scared. This may be Sehun, but he was apparently also a serial killer.. A killer of 9 other victims.. And God knows if one of them would be his 10th.
They should expect anything, even though all this seemed so unreal.
Even when they were a minute away from the building, it still just seemed like a bad dream they all had.
The car stopped on the other side of where Sehun's car was parked. Taking the risk to park right beside it would be a bad idea.
But what they didn't know was that parking it where they did, would leave them clearly visible from the middle floor of the building, where Sehun was at.

And at the middle floor, Sehun had calmed a bit more down. He looked at his smashed cigarette package and let out a deep sigh as he picked out the broken cigarettes.
Only one was almost intact, having a crack in the middle of it.
He ripped half of it away, tossing it to the ground together with the whole package. As he lit up the cigarette he calmly walked over to the shattered window, just to enjoy the morning sun.

But he didn't reach to enjoy the moment for long, as he noticed something move in the corner of his eye. He froze from inhaling the toxic smoke as he noticed his friends at the building. His eyes widened and he quickly hid behind the wall.
He was caught in the moment of confusion and fear, every single person he saw was the people that were in his dream.. Why? And how?

"Fuck.." He mumbled to himself, letting the smoke leave his lungs. He leaned his head towards the wall to think. Think of a plan that wasn't what his dream was like.. he couldn't have his dream become reality. The pain from a punctured lung was too big for him to want that again.

He couldn't help but beat his hand to the wall a few times, before the sound of something dropping to the ground distracted him. The stray dog from earlier barked happily as it's tail wagged through the air. He looked down at it with a questioned look.
"What do you want? I don't have any food for you, you know that right?" He said to the dog with an raised eyebrow as he dropped the last part of the cigarette, pressing his heel into it to kill it.
But food wasn't what the dog wanted.. It barked again before leaning it's head down, pressing it's snout against an object that it had brought Sehun.

Sehun looked down, but couldn't help but look surprised as he noticed what it brought him. He smiled big as he squatted down, petting the dog lovingly and kissing it's head.

"You found my gun! Wow, thanks.. that's just what I was looking for.." He said to it with a smile as it just responded with a happy bark. Sehun took the gun and stood up again.
"Don't tell anyone where I am, nor Luhan okay? You know who Luhan is right, Pan?" He spoke to the dog with a serious look, but yet with a smile. Of course the dog just barked as a respond, not as it could do anything else.
Pan was a stray dog that Sehun found in the abandoned factory, and it just stayed with him every time he was there. It grew to become one of his best friends.
The only one that knew what he was doing, the only one that stayed by his side.

Sehun ran down the stairs with the dog tailing him like a duckling running after it's mother. He could slightly hear the voices of the four friends echo around the many halls that the empty building consisted of.
As he reached the room Luhan was in, Luhan couldn't help but look at him with wide eyes as he was covered in dust, ripped clothes and messed up hair.
"S-Sehun?.." Luhan finally reached to say as he was utterly shocked about the appearance of the other.
But Sehun didn't say anything, not a single thing. He went over to Luhan with a quick pace and squatted down to him. He gently ran his fingers through Luhan's hair as he looked into the eyes of the other.

"I never wanted to hurt you, but when you saw me.. You left me no choice. My time hadn't come yet when our eyes met that night. I had to make to the 10th victim.. And.." He paused for a second as he felt his eyes tear up and his voice started to shake.

"I never wanted it to be you. I tried to do it, but.. I just love you too much Luhan, I can't hurt you anymore.. Other than now.. Just one more time, I'll only hurt you one more time okay?" He spoke with a trembling voice as tears ran down his cheeks. He kissed Luhan one last time before standing up, walking a bit back.

He clenched his fingers around the handle of the gun. It was now it all should end. Sehun pointed the gun at Luhan, trembling like crazy. With tears running down both Luhan's and Sehun's cheeks, he spoke again as he moved the gun for the last time.
"At first glance, murderers always seem invincible.. But at the end, they always fall.. This is the fate Luhan. I love you, see you on the other side okay? And when we meet.. I promise I'll treat you better" Sehun continued, giving Luhan a slight smile, to try and assure him this.

-"No! SEHUN!" Luhan pulled desperately in the chains but his words got cut off by the loud bang that came from the gun. He froze, as he saw his love fall to the ground. 

"Luhan?!" Xiumin yelled as he came running into the room with the others. But all of them stopped as they saw Sehun's lifeless body lay on the ground, with blood streaming out from his head.
They all turned pale and it didn't take long before everyone was crying, and Kyungsoo puking in disgust from the gore Sehun had left behind him. Xiumin ran to Luhan, to take him in his arms and comfort him, crying together with him.
And without them reaching to think about how they should free Luhan, the stray dog placed itself down beside Sehun, with his snout in his left hand. There.. There were the keys to free Luhan.

I'm so sorry to play with you readers feelings like that but ahdsafkas I love the ending okay? I hope you enjoyed it as well, even though it's sad!
Maybe later, I'll make an extra chapter as a sequel, if you guys want me to.. Sorry again. LOL.
