A (Not-So) Charming Kind of Life

Author's Note: HAHA. Similar title of a EAH book. Yea. But trust me, this name fits this chapter.

After watching Raven leave, Dexter couldn't help but jump with glee.

He couldn't believe it. He actually talked to her! Without getting blown to bits or turning into a toad..or something.

He felt that strange feeling towards her again, just Like the last time they interacted, and any other time he was near her. What a happy yet horrible feeling. He shouldn't be feeling this way. But he was. There was no way of getting rid of it anytime soon.

But hey, at least they were on good terms right? They could become friends...if she lets him.

Then maybe something more...

Then he got a text on his MirrorPhone. From Daring.

Daring: There's a huge meeting in Headmaster Grimm's office. Now. Warning, Its going to get ugly.

Dexter sighed. Uh oh.

Dexter: On my Way.

Dexter then left the balcony and walked all the way to the headmaster's office.

When he opened the door, he saw Daring, his twin sister Darling, the Headmaster and..his parents?!

"This is going to be very ugly." He thought worriedly.

"Mr.Charming, welcome." Headmaster Grimm said with a solemn look and flat and serious tone. "Close the door and have a seat. We all need to talk."

Headmaster Milton Grimm was the well, the headmaster of Ever After High. He was been for a long time. He's really strict and boring.

Dexter sat down on the last chair left.

"Thank you. " Headmaster Grimm said. "Anyway, to begin, as you all know, Legacy Day was a disaster. A horrible, unspeakable decision was made and caused trouble and chaos throughout the school. One of which is the "Royal or Rebel" question. One to which there should be absolutely no answer to which one the students of this school belong too. But of course, I can't seem to get some of the students to see that."

Then he cleared his throat. "But, I know that you three children won't fall into this madness. Since you three have this legacy on your shoulders. I know that you will make the right choice yes? Or shall your parents give you some advice hmm?"

Dexter looked down. Of course he wouldn't have a choice in this kind of thing. If, that is if, he wanted to be a Rebel, he couldn't, his "family legacy" was too important.

"No."

Then he looked up. No?

His parents gasped. The Headmaster gasped. Darling and Dexter gasped.

Daring stood up, with a defiant look on his face, and said it again. "No."

"No?!" King Charming exclaimed. "Daring!"

Queen Charming and Darling fainted, of course, King Charming and Dexter got a hold of them before they even touched the ground.

"What do you mean by "no", Mr.Charming?" Headmaster Grimm asked.

"No, I am not going to be a Royal." Daring said, plain and simple. "I-I...don't want to do this whole Prince Charming thing! I mean, Apple White isn't going to follow her story! Why do i? Who am I going to save if it's supposed to be Apple huh? Plus, what is so great about destiny anyway?"

Dexter couldn't believe it. His brother was becoming a rebel. If Daring was doing It..

Dexter was about to speak up when his father spoke instead.

"But Daring! This is your legacy! Your destiny! You have to follow it!"

"Well I am not going too."

With that said, Daring left the office.

The room was silenced. Darling and the Queen woke up and sat back down in the chairs.

The Headmaster's startled look was quickly replaced with a stern frown.
"Well...I suppose we have a problem." He began.

King Charming nodded in agreement. "I suppose we do."

"But.. Queen Charming said, "..at least you wont rebel right Dexter?Darling?"

"Of course Mother.." Darling said.

His father, mother and the Headmaster looked at him in expectation.

Oh, now he existed.

"Um.."

Dexter looked into his father's eyes, and saw what he knew he was going to see.

His father's eyes said, "You better do it or else.."

Maybe if he did this, he would finally win his father's approval...and its not like he has a choice.

"Yes."

MY POOR BABY. Don't worry, he'll rebel eventually. Oops spoiler. Oh well. Anyway, I read Dexter's diary somewhere, and his father sounds like a jerk tho. So yea. I made him a jerk here oops.
