The Beginning of Nightwing

The sun rises over Blüdhaven the next morning. The birds are chirping and the early work commuters are on their way downtown. Zatanna opens her eyes slowly and sees Dick next to her. Asleep. She realizes that they must of fallen asleep after she tended to his wounds.

The Phone rings and Dick slowly wakes up. Zatanna, realizing how close she really is to Dick slips away and hides behind a wall.

"Hey Babs." Said Dick, in his early morning voice. A serious look grows on Dick's face as he gets up and puts on his jacket.

"What do you mean he didn't return?" Asked Dick. He slams the door and rushes down the stairs to the nearest Zetatube.

Zatanna looks for food in Dick's refrigerator before heading back to Mount Justice.

"He looked so handsome even when he was asleep." She said to herself. "I hope everything is alright."

Warning Zetatube Batcave Override
Access Granted To Batfamily Member Nightwing 

The Zetatube exclams as Dick enters the cave. Alfred stands by the Batcomputer as usual on stand by for Bruce.

"Master Richard how wonderful it is to see you." Said Alfred.

"Great to see you too Alfred. Barbara told me what happened. Jason just left in the middle of the night and without his tracker?"

"Well that's the half of it. I was just in contact with Master Bruce. From what he has gathered he was able to tap into the CCTV footage and saw Robin glide around North Gotham around 10pm last night."

"He's still out there?"

"Yes. He called off work today in effort to finding Master Todd."

"You think the reason he's acting like this is because Jason usually would of returned by now?"

"Yes. Also a number of Gotham's most notorious criminals are out on the street. Somewhere. I'm afraid Master Bruce fears Robin has been kidnapped by one of them."

"I can get some of the League to help us."

"Master Bruce doesn't want the Justice League involved. Heaven knows why."

"Look we both know he can't do this on his own. I'll head out there tonight, and have others Kirk Babs and Wally to help maybe. I'll be back tonight Alfred."

"Very Well Master Richard. I'll let Master Bruce know once he returns."

"You don't have to do that Alfred. Not yet at least."

"Come now Master Richard it's been over a year, when Christmas came around you both were on opposite sides of the room like spoiled brats."

"I just don't think this is the right time Alfred."

"Very Well. The Manor as always is available to you.
And there is some left over spaghetti from the Wayne Banquet Two Nights Ago if you wish to much on something."

"Thanks Alfred. I'll eat some when I come back."

Mount Justice

Zatanna sits on the couch in a purple belly shirt and shorts as she flips through the TV Channels. Walt runs past her as he tries grabs his Hot Pocket out of the microwave.

"Hey Zee, know where Artemis is?" Asked Wally as he munched on the Hot Pocket.

"I think she's back in Gotham, I don't really know."
"Dang, well whatcha up to?"
"Just sitting here counting my days."

Wally looks confused.

"That was a joke." Said Zatanna.

"Ohhhh." Said Wally. "Why don't you hang out with your crush?"

Zatanna Blushes.
"Shut up Wally. Besides I think he's working on a case."

"Excuses, Excuses." Said Wally.

Access Nightwing B01

Zatanna blushes as she turns to see Dick running in to the living room.

"Just the two I wanted to see. I need your help." Said Dick.

"With What?" Asked Wally.
"Just suit up and I'll tell you at the rendezvous point. Something bad could of possibly happened."
