"Howell" called out Mrs. McGowan, the year 11 detention monitor.
Dan didn't know why he was here. he just beat up some scrawny year 7, nothing special. He did have his motives, though he did not quite see why they were "improper". He was basically asking for it. No one calls Dan Howell a faggot.
Dan was quite used to detention. He actually grew to enjoy it. Just some time generally on his own in an empty classroom. He'd most often end up thinking about this one guy. But Dan was straight. He was as straight as an arrow. Dead straight. Straighter than fucking Elton John riding a cock into the moonlight. He was straight.
kinda.
Dan zoned back into reality, and mumbled "here". Zoning out was one of Dan's 'superpowers'.
"Lester" Mrs McGowan spat. She obviously wasn't having a good day.
Phil Lester had no idea why he had detention. Phil was a straight A student in all advanced classes with a completely clean slate and not even one absence since those 2 weeks in year 5 when he got the swine flu.
Phil was pretty sure Mr. Peake gave him detention because someone spread a rumor that he was gay. He wasn't cheating in rugby for forgetting his kit every day of the year. And anyways, everyone knew Mr. Peake rubbed his nipples during class. Phil didn't care if people knew he was gay, girls didn't want him anyways and he had no friends.
Phil raised his hand and said here, wishing he wasn't. He glanced around the room to see one other face. And that face belonged to none other than Dan Howell. Phil quickly fixed his eyes on the intricate blue carpeting, avoiding eye contact with Dan.
"Since there's only two of you and one of me, I'll be out in the staff room. Mrs. Goodney will be next door and she will be checking on you to make sure you're not talking. Your 2 hours start now. Goodbye!" Mrs McGowan said as she stumbled out the door.
"Hey, Phil, is it?" Dan asked.
Phil turned his head towards Dan, and Dan finally had a chance to look at him properly.
He had black hair, obviously dyed, you could tell by the slight ginger-ness of his eyebrows. His skin was pale like snowflakes and it looked just as fragile. He was wearing the standard school uniform, white blazer, red tie, black trousers, and black shoes. Dan could see lion socks peaking from under the hem of his slightly too short trousers. Dan's eyes examined the boy, and transfixing on his eyes. They were giant, like oceans. Vast and never-ending. Anyone could easily drown in them. The bright blue with green specs and a slight grey tone-- it was just breathtaking.
They were the most beautiful think Dan has ever seen.
The way they could tell a thousand stories. Dan could just fall into Phil's eyes.
Phil was that one guy that made Dan question his sexuality.
