RECAP
Klaus turned Scott into a hybrid and then Derek killed Elena because he didn't want to become a hybrid but she came back as a vampire. Scott and elena then got back together and elena went to see Klaus. She made her first human kill when she over fed at the mansion and she triggered the werewolf curse, which she needs doppelgänger blood for so she went back in time to when she was human to get it but ended up accidentally being sent to when the originals were human. She fed on Tatia in the woods and then bumped into Klaus on her way out (he didn't see though).

"Klaus?" I whispered as I looked up to see his face which I recognised instantly. Klaus looked at me its confusion and took a small step backwards.

"How do you... Um... I... I've never seen you before, so um... How do know my name?" He asked, seeming slightly frightened. Crap! I thought to myself.

"Um... I uh... Um... Oh!" I exclaimed as I thought of a valid excuse. "I'm staying with Ayanna, she told me about her friend Esther and described all her children to me, you perfectly fit the description of Klaus, so I just guessed." I lied.

"You've correctly guessed then. Well, you know my name, but I don't yours, may I ask what it is?" Klaus requested formally. I giggled at him being so posh.

"Elena, Elena Gilbert." I introduced as I extended my hand so he could shake it. Klaus looked down at my hand in confusion then back up at me worriedly.

"Is you're hand alright? I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked quickly with much concern evident in his voice, insanely different from the Klaus in my time. Soon I turned confused at the cause of his worry. Riiiigghht, I though as I realised that handshakes weren't invented yet and quickly drew away my hand.

"No, absolutely not, I just thought that I saw a bug." I lied and Klaus looked like a wave of relief had just hit him.

"I am happy to hear that Miss Gilbert. Shall I escort you back to the village?" Klaus offered.

"That would be brilliant, thank you, and just Elena is fine." I told him.

"Interesting, most women prefer the formalities." Klaus informed me as we begin walking.

"Well, I am not most women." I answered. Klaus chuckled before sighing.

"That, Elena, you most certainly are not." Klaus said quietly causing me to smile ever so slightly.

"So what brings you to my village?" Klaus questioned, sounding slightly protective of his home.

"My family was attacked by wolfs, I was the only survivor. Ayanna is a family friend so I moved from England to come and stay with her until I get married and have a home of my own with my beloved." I explained, using the lie that Ayanna and I had come up with earlier.

"I am so sorry! You have been through a great deal of pain, yet you stand so strong. I couldn't even begin to imagine how you must feel inside." Klaus comforted as he stopped walking then turned so we were facing each other and took me in his arms. I allowed a single tear to roll down my cheek as I remembered my parents. I missed them so much. They had never done anything to deserve this. Then I realised being here, in Klaus's arms, was the first time ever since before my parents died, that I'd actually felt secure, that I'd felt safe, I never thought that Klaus, of all people, would be the one to make me feel this way once again.

I looked up at Klaus, and even though I knew it was wrong, it just felt so right, so I leaned up in my tippy-toes and was just about to join our lips together when someone interrupted me.

"Klaus?" Squealed an annoying high pitch voice. I took a step back and turned my head to see Tatia standing near the well with two buckets of water, one in each hand. I had completely forgotten that she was pulling a Katherine with Klaus and Elijah. Then I remembered Scott, I was with Scott now, I can't be kissing another man! I was suddenly very grateful for Tatia's interruption.
