Welcome the New

Waking from his slumber Payne noticed he was alone in Tieran's habitat. "Fuck." He swore under his breath. Why did Tieran have to return his slave? Payne was all revved up and ready to use that tight ass again. So he did the next best thing and jerked himself off.The next few days seemed to go slowly. Payne hadn't seen Tieran since they got the slaves. Every time Payne went hunting for his friend, his carer told him he was busy with work and couldn't be disturbed. What a crock of shit, he thought. They pretty much worked together everyday at Payne's carer's office. Something was definitely not right and Payne demanded to know and find out why his best friend was avoiding him.

Before he could leave his habitat, Gideon came thundering in and told Payne he was needed in the waiting room of the office.

"Why? What for now?" He whined, knowing he should not give Gideon any lip, but Payne was frustrated and did not care at the moment.

"Git ya ass to that waiting room now, yeah, or I will toss you to the pogs to devour your puny ass, ya no good shit." Gideon growled out as he backhanded him on the way out to his office.

"Dumb asshole, fucker." He mumbled to himself. Not knowing if he was talking about Gideon or Tieran. Maybe Tieran will be waiting in there too.

Payne walked in a few minutes after his carer left him and saw Tieran with his head down, almost as if he were asleep. Payne was pissed. He walked over and kick Tieran's chair so hard Tieran fell off it. Serves him right Payne thought.

"Oops. Sorry, yeah?" Payne said a bit too sarcastically.

"Um, no worries, Payne. Just trying to catch some sleep. Been going for days, yeah?" Tieran said in a quiet voice.

That was it. That was Payne's breaking point. "What the hell? Where you been, huh? I been trying to chase down ya skinny ass fa days now and you haven't even tried to get a hold of me. What the fuck you been playing, yeah?"

Tieran looked at Payne with wide nervous eyes and quickly glanced down and mumbled he'd been busy.

"So that is it? We are not friends anymore?" Payne looked like he was on the verge of tears Tieran observed. It wasn't that they weren't friends it was just how Tieran saw Payne in a new light. A dark one at that. Oh monsters that lurk, Tieran thought. "Payne of course we are friends. I, um, guess I got frightened of you that day we had those slaves. Yeah?"

"Frightened? What I do?" He asked perplexed really not knowing what his friend meant.

"You scared me. Ya so mean to those slaves and I've never seen you like, like, um Gideon I guess. I wanted to go over to your slave and cuddle him because you treated him like nothing." Tieran said as confidently as he could.

"What the fuck? They are nothing, Tieran!" Payne got testy, "They are slaves for monsters sake. Damn."

"I don't care. It did not seem like you and I never want to see that again. If you wanna pull that crap when I am not around feel free, but if you are with me I don't want to hear or see any of it. You disgusted me, Payne. Truly made me think about how much I really know you. Or want to know you." By the end of his diatribe Tieran's confidence never wavered from how he truly felt about his misguided friend.

"Damn. Yeah? I guess I was upset with Gideon and a bit about how you told me your feelings towards me. It just got to me and I thought I could be an ass to someone who seemed like they did not matter. Because I feel like I don't matter much in this hole of The ENN." Payne, nearly sobbing went over and hugged his friend. "Please forgive me, yeah? I won't be that way anymore. Please, I can't lose you."

With a smile in his voice Tieran told Payne he would not lose him ever. And Tieran hugged his best friend. Tieran did have ulterior motives for not seeing Payne besides his actions, but now was not the time to discuss such things.
