Days Are Numbered

Part Eighteen.

"You have a friend that lives in Illinois?" Jake asked, his arms resting on the surface of his guitar; I smiled with a nod. "Yeah, her names Brashay; but I just call her Shay or ShayShay." I told him.
"It seems that there is a lot you haven't told us Ms.Stowe." Andy commented.
I rose a brow before sighing. "Cause I don't like talking about myself, I know a lot of girls would get excited knowing famous guys were wanting to get to know them better; but that's just it.. You guys are like family and it feels like I don't need to tell you much because we've already been through a lot of crazy adventures in just three months.. There isn't much to tell except that I write, draw, and sing.." I murmured, I brought my knees to my chest looking at them frowning.
CC looked to me before he brought his arm around me with a sigh. "We understand." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah? Even with you saying that.. I feel selfish even thought there is not much to tell, if I knew; I would tell you guys.." I said.
The guys exchanged looks then looked to me.

Sighing, I removed myself from the couch of the bus then walked over to the bunks; laying down in mine and CC's I faced the wall with a soft frown. It's only been two days since you left.. I pulled my phone out of my pocket then unlocked it, no messages.. no nothing. Throwing the phone to the end of the bed; I closed my eyes with a frown.

The next day came by fast, we were finally in Illinois and I was having to text Shay's mom who I claimed as my second mom to find out where Shay was staying at; we ended up going on a scavenger hunt for her after Casey gave us the address.
We finally made it to a decent sized house, it looked like it was maybe two stories depending on the outside; I was starting to get excited about this.
I told the guys to wait here while I went to surprise Shay, I climbed off the bus then walked over to the door; this was my first time in Illinois and having to hunt someone down.
I knocked on the door to only hear dogs barking in response, I took a step back and watched as the door opened to reveal Shay. Her brown eyes grew wide before squealing.
"Haley! Oh my god, how are you here!?" She exclaimed holding my wrists grinning.
I was already grinning at her. "I'm on tour with my boyfriend and his band and since their concert isn't until tomorrow, we decided on stopping by here." I explained.
Shay rose a brow. "Boyfriend? Band? Why am I just now finding this out?" She asked.
I gave her an apologetic expression. "Sorry, we've been busy." I glanced over my shoulder before motioning the guys to come on.
Shay crossed her arms , her eyes grew wide that seemed like they would pop out at any given second at who she was witnessing behind me.
"H- Haley... Black Veil Brides are in my yard.. their right be-behind you, oh my lawd I'm going to faint." She said beginning to fan herself as I smiled.
"Shay," I grabbed CC's hand tugging him to stand next to me. "This is my boyfriend CC, and that is the band I mentioned." I said.
Shay stood there for the longest minute, she had no idea what to say; this is what a normal girl would do and how she would react. I knew, I was not normal in the slightest bit.

After what seemed like an hour of explaining our three month adventure, Shay was finally caught up to date with the whole thing; she kept grinning at me and CC then looked to the guys.
"How long do you plan on staying in Illinois?" She asked taking a drink of her pepsi.
Andy cleared his throat looking at her. "Just for the weekend, after we leave here; we're heading back to Texas for a few weeks and then we're going back to L.A. for a bit until the next concert or tour." He said.
Shay nodded looking at her lap, I looked at her with a soft frown; due to cars, jobs and school. We haven't been able to hang out a whole lot, the last time we hung out was on my eighteenth birthday and that was last year.. we haven't kept in touch, but when we did get in touch; I never wanted to leave her.
I looked away frowning.
"Are you still in school Shay?" Ashley asked taking a sip of his water, Shay looked to him calmly before shaking her head. "No, I graduated in May; I came to my dad's for the summer to get away from my crazy down below." She said.
Ashley's eyes grew wide. "You came from hell!?" He exclaimed looking to CC who caught on.
"Are you a fallen angel?" He asked next.
I looked to Andy, Jake and Jinxx who were grinning at the amusement. I rolled my eyes looking to Shay who was already smiling.
Andy smiled looking at Shay. "Ignore them, but congrats on your graduation." He said.
Shay laughed softly with a nod. "Thank you." She said looking back to me as I smiled softly.

We stayed there for a couple of hours, when I removed myself from the couch; my arms were wrapping tightly around Shay frowning.
"I'm glad I got to see you again.." I told her.
Shay frowned softly, we knew we needed to be strong and not cry over this.
When we moved away I walked over to the door frowning.
The guys all rose a brow looking at me.
"Um, you're forgetting something." Jake said with his arms crossed.
I rose a brow before turning around to where Shay was, I looked back to the guys confused.
Andy smirked looking to Shay.
"Go pack your stuff." He told her.
Shay's eyes along with mine grew wide looking at them.
"Are you serious!?" We exclaimed in unison.
The guys were all smiling before nodding, I looked to Shay in disbelief; we ran up the stairs squealing like little girls going to their first concert.

Our adventure began once again, I now had Shay to join me on this crazy journey called life and we were fixing to enjoy it a whole lot more, right..?
