Bridging the Gap

Seer POV
We arrived at the air-strip to find a teen with blond hair and green eyes.

"This is Daniel"

"Pleasant to meet you again"

"Again?"

"Flare this is Iron Fist"

"I don't recall telling you my real name"

"I am called Seer for a reason"

"Stop it Seer, we need to get on the plane and keep the bridge as far away from mending as possible"

"What is this 'bridge' you speak of"

"Your monks can tell you that right now we've got to go before your friends show up"

"Right this way" We climbed the stairs and strapped into our seats

"Comfy"

"Privileges of being a millionaire but I believe you already know that"

"I may" it was fun playing mind games

"Guys chit chat later it looks like our playmates are here, Iron Fist can you tell the pilot we need to take off now. Like, right now." Of course Shadow had to ruin the fun even though it technically wasn't his fault

"Already done" Wow he works fast. Then the jolt hit me, I jerked forwards being caught by my seatbelt centimetres away from the seat ahead of me.

Then we were in the air, my seat belt unclipped and I stood up. "So what's the plan?"

"We keep the gap from closing as long as possible"

I sat back down and assumed the meditation position. The others copied me and I pulled myself inwards. There was an ethereal bridge there that had bricks missing from it, but it was reforming and I had to stop it. She started using her powers to tear away bricks and stop more from forming. I kept doing the process until there was a tap on my shoulder. I regained physical consciousness and almost punched the person.

Key word almost lucky for Iron Fist I couldn't move for the moment. Twister then came up and offered me his hand, ignoring the searing pain in my joints I took it and stood up.

"Come on we have to go, it will heal faster now that there is more mana"

Nightmare shouted over the noise of a blizzard. We started trudging through the snow toward the golden gates, they slowly opened and three monks came out.

"Daniel Rand, what brings you here?" The first one said. Before Iron Fist could reply Shadow butted in

"Leyriana" the monks faces had a shocked look on them now

"How did you k. . ."

"She is our ancestor, she gave you something and we need to use it"

"Follow us" the monks started heading for the palace.

"What is this 'it' you are speaking of"

"Not now!" Shadow said. We followed the monks inside where they went into the main room with a giant fire. Behind it there was a door, it was small and wooden. Then the monks stopped and stared at us.

"We have not been able to open the door" at this all the others turned to me  and stared expectantly.

"Okay fine but you owe me" I told them. Summoning what little mama I could use without repairing the gap I thrust it into the lock and it popped open. Then a guard burst in.

"Sensei there are unauthorized planes coming"

"Go" I said without looking back "defend your home, you cannot be here now anywhere"

They left without question.

"They're here for us aren't they?" Flare said

"Yeah"

"Let's do this" I opened the door. A blinding light poured and I was pulled back into my mind as were the others.

The bridge there was pouring back together and this time I didn't try to stop it. The last brick was pulled in and then instead of leaving my mind something happened. Band of iron formed an intricate handlebar and lampposts. Then my vision was filled with white and I came back. I gained feeling and shut the door and looked up at the others. They were all looking filled and happy, they didn't notice my expression didn't match theirs. I closed my eyes with unshed tears brimming.

So, yeah there is something. More will be revealed about what happened to Seer in the Epilouge which is sadly only a few chapters away😭 Also I just realized that I have been kind of ignoring Flare and Shadow so I tried to incorporate then in this chapter.

"Woman, I am going to kill you!"

"Shadow I am sorry"

"No excuses!"

"Sorry guys got to run. . . Ah"

"Well hello there Nightmare here while Shadow hunts the writer down"
