Why do people steal art? Why do they think it's okay to do that? More importantly, why do they keep doing it? Don't they know it hurts the original artist?
I'm definitely not pointing fingers, but I definitely have my suspicions. Why do they think this is okay? I mean, they caution to people not to steal their art, that it's wrong.
But they do EXACTLY THAT. Are you afraid no one will like your art? Are you? Be proud of your own work! Don't let people push you to steal! You don't have to pretend to be good...You just have to be you.
Art isn't meant to be something that smacks you in the face and you're suddenly great at it. Art is a gift and a talent, that takes time to develop. You can think your art is terrible, but you will improve! Everyone, no matter how good they are, still improve! You always improve!
I'll take my friend for example! They use to think their art was terrible! But now?! I envy it! Their skills with anatomy! Their backgrounds! Shading! But I still PUSH myself to get better!
You don't have too, or you shouldn't have too, feel like you have too bet better then this person! Because everyone is great in their own way! I can't stress it enough!
We all have different talents, we all have different ways of learning. We all take time to develop art skills. You just have to be patient.
I was terrible at cats once, in sixth grade all the way through to eighth. Terrible. In fact, the picture above? My art in 2012.
But I still thought I was good at art. And I kept with it, and I improved at it! So please, just be you, and use your art! Don't be ashamed!
Note: This is not to offend or call out anyone. This is because I dealt with art thief's before.
