Chapter 3: Mission Prep

I woke up in my bed with the sheets draped on top of me and the smell of bacon filled the apartment.   I got up and walked to the kitchen and Ward said, "Good morning, Dreamy.   Want some bacon?"

I nodded and he fixed us a plate and said, "Good because I love bacon."

I giggled and he walked over to me and kissed me softly.   I kissed back and whispered, "Thanks."

He put my plate down and sat by me and said, "We have a week long mission and in which we get to act like we're together."

"Are we acting together as in dating or together as in marriage?"

He smiled and said, "Honeymooning."

I giggled and said, "Ok, Wardy."

"If I'm Wardy then you're Mrs. Wardy."

I blushed and said, "Let's get ready after breakfast."

He nodded and kissed my cheek.   I smiled and asked him, "When are you going to ask me out?"

He smiled and said, "Baby, we're fake married.    Let's focus on that please."

I sighed and said, "Ok, hubby.    Can you get me a drink?"

He got up and walked towards the fridge and I noticed his bulge and said, "Hey, Wardy.   Get over here."

Grant pulled out and said, "To not do it until the hotel."

Fury cleared his throat and said, "Ok, Agent Ward and Wisps, here is all the information you need."

I took it and Ward nodded like he had another plan in his mind and Fury said, "If you think about alerting anyone who is not of Shield we will personally arrest you."

I gulped even though I knew it wasn't either of us and Ward said, "Yes, sir."

I nodded and Fury said, "Now go."

I packed some stuff and Ward did too.   After a while of packing he walked up behind me and leaned down so he'd have access to my ear and whispered against it, "I have a question for you."

I turned to face him and he put an arm around me and asked, "Do you trust me?"

I nodded and he brought his lips towards mine and asked me, "Will you stay by my side no matter what happens?"
