Chapter 4: Dreany's Crazy Dream Part 1

I walked through Shield and heard footsteps running to me and I said, "Go away, Ward."

He laughed and said, "I got a new assignment."

I faked a smile and said, "Congrats..."

He looked at me concerned and asked me, "What's wrong?"

I shook my head and said, "Nothing. It's just I'm heading to Director Fury's office. I think he's going to fire me because of my fuck up on the last mission."

He patted my back and whispered, "I'm sure he won't. You're a good agent."

I smiled and asked him, "Does it hurt?"

He looked confused and I asked, "Does it hurt to show this much emotions."

He laughed and said, "Only when it's to people I can't stand."

I smiled and said, "Fury's waiting."

He smiled and reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box and said, "I got you this charm from my last mission."

I smiled and said, "Thanks."

He nodded and said, "No problem. Good luck."

I nodded and walked to Fury's office and asked, "You wanted to see me sir?"

He nodded and before he could speak Ward walked in talking to Coulson trying to him into accepting me on the team and I smiled and said, "Hey, Coulson."

He looked at Fury and begged, "Just tell her before Agent Ward begs me to death."

Fury looked at me and said, "You have been chosen to work with Agent Coulson."

I smiled and nodded. I followed Coulson and Ward out and Ward squeezed my hand and said, "I'm glad that we're working together."

I looked at him and smiled and said, "Me too. He kept ahold of my hand and muttered, "I'll do anything for you."

I smiled and Coulson asked us, "Are you two dating?"

I looked confused at why he asked that then I remembered that Ward currently had my hand in his and we both said at the same time, "No. We're just very good friends."

I smiled and Ward said, "We've known each other since we were kids."

I squeezed his hand knowing about his feelings on his past and he rubbed the back of my hand with his thumb and Coulson said, "You should think about it."

My cheeks heated up as we walked and we walked past Garret and a chill ran down my spine when he stopped and said, "Hello, Coulson. I see you got two strong members on your team now. They had the best SO."

He looked towards us and noticed Ward holding my hand and said, "They're a team."

Ward sensed me being nervous and said, "Sir, I'll get Dreany to the plane."

I nodded and we walked off and he whispered to me while wrapping his arm around my waist, "You can't be so scared around our SO. He's only trying to help."

"I can't keep all these secrets, Ward. I know almost every agent here on both sides. Hell I kissed Captain fucking America to cover for your ass before."

Ward pulled me close and told me, "Don't worry, bud. I'll pay you back for that."

"You aren't kissing Captain America."

He laughed and said, "Maybe I have someone else in mind."

I rolled my eyes and ran before yelling, "Hurry up, Wardy."
