Chapter 5: To Flee or Not to Flee

I woke up with Ward's arm draped around me lightly. I smiled and nuzzled up to him and smiled. That would be amazing if it was true. Ward turned in his sleep pulled me with him causing Skye to yelp out in pain. Ward woke up and we both sat up and he asked her, "What the hell are you doing?"

She looked at us and said, "Oh, you aren't Lincoln. That explains why you're soft. I think I found the first part of you that is soft for me."

I glared at her and Ward held me back and she said, "I figured with our history you would be a little more welcoming but I guess I was wrong."

I broke free from his hold and started beating the shit out of her. We started fighting and Ward said, "Baby, don't do this. Watch out she's trying to grab your hair."

I dodged and kicked her off of me sending her flying into the wall. Ward checked her pulse and said, "Baby, we should leave. Grab the pups. I'll grab our bags."

I did so and took the pups to the truck and he put our bags in the car and drove off. I leaned against him and asked him, "Did you leave a note?"

He laughed and said, "Yeah. I had it written up a while ago by one of the agents."

I smiled at his laugh and asked him, "What did it say?"

He smirked and said, "One agent down and two taken. Looks like S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to fight among themselves to find out who the traitor is."

I yawned and he said, "Don't worry, sweetheart. I'm taking us some place safe. I'll make breakfast and not ruin it by fucking you on the table."

"I never said that completely ruined breakfast. I kind of liked you taking control and having your way with me on the table."

He kissed me and swerved in the road causing the pups to get in my lap scared. I petted them and said, "Ward, you scared Rex and Spot!"

I petted them and shook my head at Ward giggling. He pulled me close and muttered against my lips while trying not to swerve, "I can make you regret that shaking your head at me, darling."

I leaned against him and the pups fell asleep in my lap and I asked him, "Does this mean I am a part of Hydra's grunts?"

He chuckled and said, "No. You're apart of Hydra's top in command."

"Where do you figure that?"

He laughed and asked me, "Who are you dating?"

"I'm dating you last time I checked. Why?"

He kissed me deeply and said, "Then you know exactly why. I told you yesterday that I'm the leader of Hydra."

I turned on my ear piece secretly and said, "I thought you were joking about it."

He looked at me and said, "I'd never joke about that sort of thing with you, Dreany. I love you too much to do that sort of thing. You're my entire world even if feelings are a weakness. I'm willing to have that weakness for you..."

I kissed his cheek when I remembered that I took it out last night. I don't know why I even tried to do that. I'd only get Ward and me caught and in trouble. After a while of driving my stomach growled and he pulled out into a gas station and said "I'll get us some breakfast. I'll also grab some for the pups because I know how important they are to you."

I smiled and whispered, "Thanks, Ward. It means a lot to me."

A smile formed on his lips and he said, "Good because that's all I want. You to be happy with me and not mad at me or abandon me the second you find out I'm not with S.H.I.E.L.D. I love you so much, Dreany."
