When Monday came around, David and I got dressed and he drove me to school. When we got to the lockers, Xavier was there leaning against the locker with his back turned to me. I went up behind him and gave him a big hug. I think I scared him a little because he dropped whatever he was holding in his hands. When I let go of him, he picked up what he dropped and then gave it to me. It was a blue felt box that felt very light. I opened it and gasped because it was a beautiful silver necklace that said "Love" in elegant cursive letters.

"It's beautiful." I said almost in tears of happiness.

"Just like you." He said then he kissed me on the cheek and wrapped me in another one of his warm strong hugs that seem to last forever.

These guys were making it harder to decide which one would be the better guy because I just slept with David for about three days straight and Xavier just kissed me on the cheek in front of David.

I turned back around to see David standing there staring at Xavier like he was about to bite his arm off. I knew I had to talk to him alone right now. I grabbed him by his big soft hands that were now turning red from them being balled up, and walked him over to the door of a classroom.

"Are you ok?" I asked knowing he wasn't

"Of course not, Marissa. He just kissed you on the like he was already yours." He said almost shouting.

"I don't think it's fair for us to be in a position where both of us love you and neither of us gets to have you. That's not right!"

"Well I'm sorry but..." I didn't finish my sentence before I ran to homeroom with blurry eyes, knowing that I had just been yelled at for not knowing what I wanted.. When I sat down in the back, Xavier was already there. He smiled when he saw me but that smile quickly faded when he saw my red watery eyes. He got up ready to hug me but I really didn't feel like being in his arms because David would see and get even more pissed off than he already was. So, I quickly walked passed him to a back corner of the classroom so I could at least try to pull myself together. When David entered the room I could tell he had calmed down a little bit but not a whole lot.

"What the hell did you do to her?" Xavier yelled at David

"Man, shut up! I didn't do anything. It's what you did to her."

"I didn't do anything to her yet!" Xavier yelled even louder. This time some people looked back at them.

"Wait." I said interrupting "What do you mean, "Yet"?" I asked trying not to raise my voice

"Marissa, stay out of this. This has nothing to do with you" He said walking my way

"Actually it does have a lot to do with me if you're going to fight about me then I should have a say in something!" I said failing at not trying to yell

"Marissa just sit your pretty little ass down and stop talking" he said grabbing my arm and pushing me down in my chair

"Dude don't touch her." David said pulling Xavier away from me

"No, don't touch me!" Xavier said slapping David in the face.

"Marissa, get out of here now. My keys are in my locker and you know the combination. Now go!"He said with his head down still in shock that he had just been hit. I was too. Why would he do such a thing? I didn't get it. How did he go from being this sweet guy to being this vicious monster of a guy? I felt like I didn't ever really know him. Just the part that he wanted for me to see.
