Tyler Seguin is skating around on the American Airlines Center's ice, taking lap after lap around in a giant circle. He is alone and enjoying the freedom. However he knows that he shouldn't be here alone, it is against Jamie's and Evelyn's commands.
He finally skids to a halt at center ice, spraying chunks of ice before him. He has his hockey stick in his hands. He removes his helmet and shakes his head. He knows that he should really call Jamie and let him know where he is but he doesn't move to get his phone.
Tyler looks around the magnificent Dallas arena, smiling gently as he thinks about how lucky he is. Dallas really is his home, Boston never felt right to him. He is wanted and liked here and he has a ton of friends. Sure there had been Brad Marchand but Jamie Benn was cooler and Tyler loved his friend Jamie.
Suddenly a loud bang echoes through the air, causing Tyler to spin around. His puppy dog brown eyes are wide with wonder and fear. He should really call Jamie now! His conscious screams at him, but he just gasps and drops his helmet on the ice.
"What the--?" Tyler begins to say before a hooded figure holding a bright glowing blue scepter-type staff in his hand lands on the blue line on the ice.
To the right of him, two more figures appear at the tunnel entrances for both teams. Tyler notices that they almost look like soldiers or robots and they block his exits. The Dallas Star turns back to the figure on the blue line.
"Who are you?" Tyler demands.
The figure removes his hood and smirks at Tyler, who freezes in place as his eyes stare into the cold, villainous ones of Raffi Torres. "Tyler Seguin, it is a pleasure. Where's your precious puppy?"
"Nikita?"
"Yeah, Nikita."
"He's not here. Why?"
"Good, good, so there is no one around to hear you scream then, right?" Raffi smirks wickedly. He begins to round the Star forward, prodding him with the scepter.
Tyler whacks Raffi's weapon away from him with his hockey stick. "What do you want, Raffi?"
Raffi stops and faces Tyler, who is holding a sharp, stern gaze on him. The villain spins his scepter around in a circle and slams the butt end of it on the ice with an echoing thunk. "It's nothing personal. It's just that, well...yeah, it is personal!"
He swings the staff at Tyler, who blocks it with his hockey stick. "I know you know me, Tyler Seguin."
Tyler spins around on his skates and blocks a second shot aimed at him. The scepter glows until it finally crystallizes. Tyler gasps as Raffi manages to get the stick free and sends it flying into the boards.
"What do you want with me?" Tyler choked out, backing up on his skates.
"You know!" Raffi sneers, stepping forward, snickering to himself. "Oh, I know you know." The corners of his mouth twist upward into a smirk.
"That's not a good answer, Raffi! Why do you want me? Is it someone else?"
"Perhaps...or perhaps not...you'll soon see, Segsy!" Raffi shoves him against the boards, pinning him in place.
"Let me go! I'll contact Jamie!" Tyler screams, kicking out at the villain, trying to get him off of him. "It's only a push of a button, which I can do before you can even do anything about it! You wanna remove my watch, well not after I contact him!"
"How?" Raffi threw his head back momentarily to cackle loudly and then he slams Tyler against the boards causing the centreman to hit his head. Tyler falls limp and Raffi lets him fall to the ice. Then the villain turns to his friends and snaps his fingers. "Boys, grab this-this hockey player and follow me!"
