It was some time after Yama had taken the new role of captain. Harlock intervened every now and then, only giving advice as well as taking control. Yama learned very quickly how to take over Arcadia as Captain Harlock stayed in his throne-like chair. Seeing Yama from behind was like seeing his younger self at the wheel. Getting up from his chair, the much older male went up to Yama as he instructed the boy to rest.
He hesitated for a bit before turning and stepping away. Looking back at Kei and Yattaran, he walked past the two. The three were getting closer as a crew at least. It was the prior betrayals that made the duo hesitate a bit in the beginning. It didn't take long for Yama to get to where Miime and Harlock usually sat during the night. This made the young male slow down and get called in by Miime. He didn't dare want to step inside, not since Harlock wasn't in there.
Stepping towards the doorway and entering, he dare not sit on Captain Harlock's own chair. Yama stood next to the table as his gloved fingers pressed against the table. A few papers were scattered on the table of Harlock's side. His eye glanced down but, quickly, back up as Miime started to speak again. "You never grew close to Captain Harlock," she stated so bluntly," you share more similarities than one can think."
Yama questioned where she was going with this. She brought up a good point but Harlock didn't seem to want to grow close with him. That was what he observed though he didn't know Harlock like Miime did. Straightening himself up, Miime continued. "It is not necessary but just a....suggestion."
He shook his head as he turned away. "Are you planning on something Miime," Yama questioned as he quickly got interrupted," alien life is far more intelligent than what the human race can think of. She can plan what she likes...whenever she isn't follows orders."
Looking back to see Harlock, Yama held his breath for a few moments. The captain walked to be side by side with Yama, for a brief moment, then continued to sit on his chair at the other side. Yama's eye followed Harlock until he sat down. Letting out a small huff, he dare not make eye contact with the captain. Miime dismissed herself to leave the two males alone. Yama adjusted himself uncomfortably as he nodded slightly to what he said earlier. Opening his mouth, Yama's thoughts got interrupted by the older male. "She's not planning anything between us," Harlock spoke as he rested his cheek on his hand.
Stepping away from the table, Yama removed his hands and quickly commented. "What is it that you, both, want then?" A smirk came across Harlock's lips as his successor asked this. It didn't last long as he moved to sit up straight. A nearby noise came from outside the room, causing the two to be on slightly guard, and ruined the mood between the two. Yama stepped outside as he didn't want to continue their conversation and wanted to explore what was happening.
Some time passed by as Miime returned to the room. She looked down at Harlock as his lone eye was closed. "Harlock," she spoke softly as he opened his lone eye. He lifted his head and looked at his female companion. With an hmph, she continued. "What is it that makes him stand out to you?" Harlock looked at the papers in front of him. On the papers was his handwriting with spurts of his thoughts and one particular with the layout of the Arcadia. Miime didn't say anything as she remembered what she mentioned earlier. Nodding once, the female sat leaving the silence remain between the two.
