Everybody Knows But Nobody Really Knows

Chapter 9

The dining room had about 17 huge rectangular tables all had hungry campers around them and four square ones.One in every corner of the room,the camp workers were seated around those.
The girls had already started walking towards a table that was not yet filled,I jogged slowly to catch up to them but being me I bumped my hip in the side of a table earning me weird glances from those seated around it.I muttered apologies and went to sit by my friends.A vegetable bowl was placed neatly in the center of the table so was 2 jugs of what looked like fruit punch but smelled like green tea.Caught up in observing the center of the table I didn't hear Layla calling my name."Yea" I answered still distracted."Ever since you sat down that cutie hasn't stopped staring over here"she stated.The other girls nodded their heads in agreement.This got my attention."I think he likes you" she teased.I waited a minute or two then looked across the table sure enough a guy was looking over here,it was nickname boy from school. I stared back blankly silently challenging him to a stare down.But our dinners came ruining that plan.It was mashed potatoes with gravy, green peas and small bits of meat,at first it didn't look as if it could full my belly so I was surprised when nearly half way through my stomach felt exhausted.After eating they had us go back to our cabins,saying that tomorrow all camp activities would start.
Already changed into our sleeping clothes we got in bed and started doing knock knock jokes.It was my turn when we heard a knock on the door we burst out laughing.Since I had the bottom bunk I went to go open the door.Standing their was a woman that looked about the same age as Vincent,she had green eyes and a huge grin plastered on her face.
Not waiting for me to invite her in she gave me a big hug and stepped past me into the small cabin.The girls sat up upon seeing the stranger in the cabin."Sooo" Layla said clearing her throat."You are?".
The woman face palmed herself and looked up at us clearly embarrassed she had forgotten to introduce herself."I'm Regina"she stated sitting down at the end of my bed as I hadn't moved from the doorway after I closed it."I'm your personal cabin director meaning I take care of your activities your needs,personal issues and stuff like that"."Any questions?" she asked,and since we all shook our heads she stood up and dug into her back pocket and produced a neatly folded paper. Unfolding it and hanging it up on the bare wall she told us that this was our time table containing information of our scheduled activities.She was just about to leave when Amy stopped her and asked if she wanted to spend a little time with us.Turns out Regina's really cool she's funny and knows a lot of riddles and she has the cutest pout when she thinks.We hung out for about an hour and a half before she told us our curfew was coming up in 5 mins,so she left.
For the first time I went to look at the time table the first thing we had tomorrow was skate boarding.Groaning was the only thing I remembered before I was in la la land.
