Everybody Knows But Nobody Really Knows

Chapter 14

"Make whatever you want to,go crazy,not literally of course,just have fun"the arts and craft guide instructed.
Right now it's about 7 in the morning and I'd much rather be lying in bed than  trying to make stuff.
Picking the flat,smooth rectangular board from the table I stared at it with as much hatred as I could hoping it would break or something.After about 3 minutes of just sitting there I decide to just build a simple miniature rectangular table.
Looking around me about 12 minutes later I noticed everyone else was still working leaving the building in silence.Putting my head down on the the table deciding to catch up on sleep I put the glue and my miniature masterpiece to the side of table.
"I think that when he said have fun he meant be creative"someone behind me states in a matter of fact tone.Turning around quickly in my chair I came eye to eye with a curly hair boy with thick rimmed glasses on."This"he sais walking around me and holding my little  table up"just looks ...lazy"he finishes smiling at me like he just gave me a compliment.
"For your information I was going to paint it"I lie right through my teeth.
"Oh yea,when?"he asks taking the empty seat beside me.
"Someday...maybe" I reply nonchalantly.
"Im Toby" he sais shaking his head and holding out his right hand for me to shake.
"Allanah"i say taking his hand and giving it a firm shake just as the bell goes signalling us to get to our other activity.I release his hand,giving him a small wave before I start to walk away.Just as I step out unto the grass I hear someone shouting my name.I spin around with a confused look on my face not expecting someone to be calling  my name out like that.Toby soon appears before me panting like a thirsty dog."You forgot this"he sais handing me my table.Thanking him I put the table inside my bag."What do you have next"he asks me finally catching his breath.
"Swimming" I say excitedly.
"Me too"he sais grimacing as if going swimming was the worst thing on the timetable.
"Well,see you there" I say laughing a little at the frown he currently wears.
"Yea,ok"he sais.At that I all but sprint up to my cabin to get my bathing suit,sunscreen and all that stuff.
Opening the door to the cabin I see the girls are already dressed,they didn't
want to come to arts and craft this morning so they made up stories about it being their time of the month.I'm  a terrible liar so I didn't even bother to try.
Grabbing all the necessities we walked out the cabin together.They were being slow pokes so I had to drag them along despite their... loud protests. I couldn't help that I was excited to go swimming,I mean who doesn't love water.
