"Oh (y/n)! It's so nice to finally meet you!" Beth exclaimed and brought me into an extremely friendly hug. "Woah! Nice to meet you too Mrs. Johnson!" I chuckled during her hug. "Oh please dear, while you're here you can call me mum" she smiled warmly. Mum. Wow, this was nice. I turned my attention to Henry. "Hello Mr. Johnson" I sai and shook his hand. "You can call me dad, (y/n). I'm basically going to be like a father to you over the year" he laughed. "So, let's show you around the house!" Beth said cheerfully and clapped her hands together. I grabbed my bags and Henry grabbed my last bag and shut the door behind him. "Wow, this house is beautiful!" I said. "Well thank you" Beth grinned. Henry took the bags upstairs while Beth showed me around their house. We stopped at a door with posters of Disney Princesses and other characters. "This is Amy's room, she's taking a nap right now, you can meet her when she wakes up" Beth said softly. We walked down the hall a little more and Beth opened the door. Inside was a queen size, oak wood bed and next to it was a matching oak nightstand with a pretty lamp on it and a digital alarm clock. Across the medium sized room was an oak dresser with a large mirror above it with little lights handing loosely around the border of the mirror. Then there was a closet that had a few shelves in it. "Is this my room?" I asked quietly. "Do you like it?" Beth asked slowly, unsure if I approved of it or not. I touched the walls that were painted a light green. "Oh I love it. It's perfect!" I smiled and threw myself on the bed and burried my face in the soft duvet and I smiled brightly. "I'm glad you like it" Beth chuckled. "Well you get unpacked and I bet you want to sleep a little, you know with the time change in stuff, you must be pretty messed up right now" she laughed. I nodded then noticed that I actually was tired. I've just been too excited to think about things. "Sounds good to me" I said. "Night (y/n), sleep well" she said warmly then turned the light off and closed the door quietly. I slipped under the covers and looked up at the ceiling and smiled to myself. This is going to be a great year.
