I lazily opened my eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings. I wasn't in the US anymore, I was on the other side of the world! Well shit. I smiled and crawled out of bed and slipped some sweatpants on and a baggy tshirt then slowly opened my door. I looked down the hallway and it was dark and quiet. I looked at my watch and it was 1:39am. I guess I just haven't adjusted to the new time schedule yet. I quietly walked down to the kitchen in search for food. I noticed a plate on the counter and I saw a little note on it. 'Thought you might be hungry when you woke up, sleep well! -mum and dad'. I raised my eyebrows and looked down and saw a plate full of cookies. Score! I went into the fridge and grabbed the milk carton and I poured myself a glass. I heard small footsteps so I immediately stopped my actions and froze. I slowly looked towards the stairs and I saw a little girl, standing there in her pajamas. "Are you the girl who's living with us now?" She asked. I smiled sweetly. "I am, my name is (y/n), is your name Amy by any chance?" I asked softly as I knelt down so we were at eye level. She nodded shyly and stuck her hand out for me to shake. I chuckled lightly and I shook her small hand. "It's very nice to meet you Amy" I said politely. "You're really nice" she said. "So are you" I replied. "What are you doing up at this late hour Miss. Amy?" I asked in a playful tone. "I just was with my friend Mr. Bear and I heard a noise down here and Mr. Bear wanted to investigate with me" she said hugging her stuffed bear closer to her chest. Wow she was adorable. "Well, I think you and Mr. Bear should go up to bed, it's really late and he could be crabby in the morning" I said. "Will you tuck me in?" She asked shyly. "Of course" I smiled. I took her hand and we walked up to her room. She got into her bed and held onto her bear. I pulled the covers up to her chin. "Goodnight Miss. Amy" I whispered and turned her light off and closed the door quietly. I sighed and walked back downstairs and ate my cookies. After that I went back upstairs and decided to go back to sleep, tomorrow was going to be a good day.
