burnt bacon (destiel)

Cas makes breakfast for the two of them, burning it horribly, but Dean finds it so adorable that he can't help but to eat all of it.

Beeeeeep. Beepbeepbeep. Beeeeeep.

Dean groans loadly. He hadn't remembered setting the alarm, but he rolls over to slap his hand on the 'snooze' button.

Beeeeeep. Beepbeepbeep. Beeeeeep.

He hits it over and over, eyes still closed, but the noise doesn't go away. Dean groans loudly, opening his eyes and rubbing his face with his callused hands. The bed was empty, and colder than it should be.

"Cas?"

No answer. Maybe the angel had wandered off somewhere, and could no longer hear him. Dean supposed he had no other choice but to slide out of bed, put his boxers on, and go find his boyfriend.

Beeeeeep. Beepbeepbeep. Beeeeeep.

"Cas!" He calls out, searching the bunker from top to bottom.

Dean finally finds him, hurriedly trying to flip a pan of scrambled eggs, and keeping an eye on the bacon in the pan alongside the first.

"What are you doing?" Dean wraps his arms around his boyfriend from behind. "You weren't supposed to wake up yet." Castiel mumbles grumpily. I was making you breakfast in bed. And I couldn't determine the source of the beeping noise."

"You mean the smoke alarm? So that's what woke me up..."

Dean kisses Cas's neck, and nuzzles his face into his cheek. "Dean." Cas says in a stern voice, but he still has that cute smile on his face that kills any and all seriousness. "If you don't quit it, I'm going to burn the food even more."

"Oh well." Dean mumbles, but he lets Cas finish cooking the food, and the couple happily gets back into the cozy little bed to share the burnt toast and bacon, along with bitter coffee.

But Dean doesn't complain once. He eats the blackened toast and the rubbery eggs and the coffee that tastes like tar. And he promises his boyfriend - with toast in one hand and Cas's hand in the other, that next time, Dean will handle breakfast.
