First Kiss

"Ok, let's take a quick break!" the director yelled. "Be back in 30 minutes please!".

The last scene to be shot for the day was the kissing scene. Alden has been very patient with Maine, giving her tips and coaching her on how to deliver the script in a more natural way.

"Pasensya ka na Alden, rookie lang ako! Pero salamat talaga sa tulong mo." Maine said with a smile.

"Wala yon Meng. Ready ka na ba, last scene na." said Alden.

"Ay eto yung kiss naten diba?" Maine asked shyly.

"Oo, tanong ko si direk kung paano ito. Hintay ka lang diyan."

Alden approached the director who looked very stressed out.

"Direk? Question po, dito sa last scene hindi po nakalagay kung cheek or lips ni Meng yung hahalikan ko?"

"Alden, I'll leave it up to you. Kung di effective yung take, eh di ulitin naten, gets? Basta gawin mo lang yung nafefeel mo na karapat dapat sa eksena." the director replied.

"Ah sige po sir. Thank you po."

Alden looked over at Maine. Nakikita niya na kabado talaga si Meng. Their eyes met, and he gave her a smile. Well at least may choice kami - thought Alden as he walked back to where Maine was waiting.

"Meng, ganito, sabi ni direk ako na daw mag decide."

"Ha? Talaga? Pwede pala yun?" Maine asked.

"Oo, kung ano daw ang nafefeel ko, gawin ko daw ang sa tingin ko mas natural at mas ikagaganda ng eksena. Pero siyempre ask na rin kita kung Ok lang sayo na halikan kita sa lips?" Alden asked shyly.

"Alden, ok lang saken - basta maganda ang eksena, tsaka para di na paulit ulit, siguro mas maganda nga kung ano nalang ang feeling naten at that time, para mas natural di ba?" Maine replied.

"Break's over...let's do a take!" shouted the director.

The set and crew scrambled to get back to their positions. Stylists hurriedly retouched Maine's makeup and in a few minutes the kiss scene was about to begin.

"Ok quiet on the set...lights...camera...ACTION!" the director yelled.

Alden approached Maine slowly, looking straight into her eyes, he suddenly felt his heart beat faster. Tisoy kaya mo ito - he told himself - Ano na ang nafefeel mo?

Alden started the scene and delivered his line:

Alden moved closer and slowly lifted her chin so he can kiss her lips. Maine closed her eyes and felt Alden's soft lips touching hers lightly. She can't help but kiss him back, as she slowly put her arms around him and held him closer.

"CUT! Good take!" yelled the director.

They break their kiss and both look at each others eyes for a moment. Suddenly Maine felt the nervousness and worry go away.

"So that wasn't too bad right?" Alden asked.

"No, it was perfect." Maine replied with a grin.
