Bae, I love you

On set

"Maine gising, nasa location na tayo."

Maine yawned, rubbed her eyes and slowly opened them. "Wait lang po, five minutes."

She blankly stared at the van's ceiling, She was so tired. It has been a few months of nonstop work, rehersal dito, shooting doon. Pagod at puyat, halos wala nang pahinga dahil sa new found fame.

"OK, Meng kaya mo 'to..." she cheered herself on, "Ginusto mo to, buhay artista...get up, get up 1...2...3"

Kung pwede lang i-extend ang five minutes, pero di pwede paghintayin ang crew. Baguhan lang si Maine sa pag-aartista, kaya dapat maging masipag, humble and willing to work extra hard. There's a lot of people questioning her ability as an actor, kaya dapat mag-level up to meet the high expectations.

This was Maine's first day shooting "My Bebe Love" with Alden Richards, her accidental loveteam. All this still feels like a dream. The lights, cameras, crew and set. It was all real, but feels so surreal.

"Hair and makeup! Ready na si Maine!", her manager led her to the trailer, "Yung outfit mo nandun na - mag change ka muna tapos hair and makeup will do their magic, saglit lang yan ok? Habang inaayusan ka, review mo yung script ha?"

"Ok po."

Maine stared at the 30 page script she had to memorize for today's shooting. This was definitely not going to be as easy as Dubsmash. This acting gig is a whole different monster.

Maine walked out of the trailer, script in hand. Hair, makeup and outfit done. Talagang artista na sha. Lahat lumilingon, tumitingin. Kasama na doon si Alden Richards. Sa malayo palang naagaw na ni Maine ang attention ni Alden. Excited na siya makatrabaho si Alden. At last magkakasama na sila sa movie set. May halong kaba and excitement ang nafefeel niya, shempre may kasamang kilig.

"Hi Meng! Kamusta ka?"

"Hi Alden, eto ok lang...matagal ka na ba naghihintay?"

"Di naman, ok lang - maaga nga ako dumating, para makapag usap tayo ng konti bago ng take."

"Ay oo, sige - may mga question nga pala ako, eh kasi - yung sa scene na eto, umm, nakalagay may kiss scene?"

"Oo meron nga"

"So...anu ito? Sa cheek lang o lips? Di kasi nakalagay eh?"

"Usually nakalagay, pero kung hindi - that's up to direk actually, anyway sasabihan naman tayo mamaya."

"Ah okay, mejo kinakabahan ako."

"Ok gets ko naman, Ummm...have you kissed before?"

"Oo, pero matagal na eh."

"Ok lang yan!" Alden said with a laugh, "I don't bite, wag kang kabahan!"

"Naku, eh ikaw to Alden...iba na ito."

"Don't worry, may pakiramdam naman ako. Marami na akong nagawang kissing scene. Wag kang mag-alala Maine, akong bahala."

Maine looked into Alden's trusting eyes. He made her believe that he is not someone who will take advantage. He is a gentleman through and through. In her heart, she trusts him, but at the same time, can she trust herself not to completely fall for him?

"Oh, ready na ba kayo?" asked the director.

"Game na direk, let's go!" said Alden.
