After a long day of mall shows, taking selfies with fans, and signing copies of his latest album, Alden quickly returned to his hotel room to rest for the night. He has another mall tour the next day and all he wants is to take a shower and sleep early.
As he opened the door to his hotel, he was surprised to see a giftbox sitting in the middle of the bed. A note on the box says "Happy Weeksary!, love Maine". Inside the box are two red velvet cupcakes with "A" and "M" in white frosting.
Alden checked his phone 1 New Message from Maine:
Hi Alden, Sana magustuhan mo yang cupcakes, pinaorder ko pa sa manager mo para meron ka naman treat pagkatapos ng mall show, sabi niya yan ang favorite mong flavor, next time ako mag-bake para sayo. Enjoy! Happy weeksary!
Di mapigil ang ngiti sa mukha ni Alden, he decided to film a little video message to thank her...
Recording...
"Hi Meng! Maraming salamat sa cupcakes, Happy Weeksary din sayo! Di ko ineexpect ito. Naku pagbalik ko gusto ko na matikman yung cupcakes na gawa mo. Excited na ako. Nakaka-alis ng stress, so thank you for this treat, miss na kita - I'll see you in a few days sa shooting. Goodnight!"
Meanwhile at the Mendoza residence...Maine got the video:
"ATE!!! Tingnan mo ito video message ni ALDEN! Daliiii!" squealed Maine.
"Kalama Meng, anu bayan?" her sister teased.
"Here, look!" as Maine played the video for her sister, "Ayos yung Weeksary surprise ko di ba?"
"Grabe effort Meng, iba na ito ah? May weeksary din kayo off-cam?"
"Eh, parang tradisyon na yon ate, besides napapasaya ko naman siya, kaya kung masaya siya, masaya din ako, win-win situation!"
"Talagang gagawan mo siya ng cupcakes?"
"Oo kahit isang dosena gagawa ako!"
"Iba ka talagang bata ka!" Maine's sister replied with a laugh, "Ang bilis mo talaga magka-crush! Todo effort palagi."
"Sis naman, wagas ako mag-mahal alam mo yan!"
"Mahal na agad Meng?"
"Hmmm, pwede, malapit na - hinihintay ko lang yung magka-aminan na officially pero di pa nangyayari yon ate."
"So....sa Tamang Panahon?"
"Korek ka diyan sis, malapit na yun, shempre gusto ko naman siya umamin muna bago ako noh!" Maine said with a grin.
Back in Alden's hotel...he is on the phone:
"Salamat po sa favor Kuya Jose, basta pag dating ni Meng bukas, pakiabot nalang po....Opo sana magustuhan niya, salamat po ulit!"
