As I walk through the gates of hell,
My sins are heavy I can tell,
Even though my will is strong
The path ahead is very, very long.
I always thought I had what it takes
Not to fall from grace.
And yet I've made mistakes
And now eternity I have to face.
Eternity in a place
Far, far from grace,
Eternity in darkness,
Eternity in madness.
Fire burns but not consume;
Souls are screaming in pain,
Souls are screaming in vain.
Souls are crying, but to whom?
Darkness and despair
Are in their own lair,
Darkness and despair
Are amidst the air.
Demons laugh
Over one's path.
Dreams shatter,
You don't matter.
As you're burning you see another
And you know why in pain he's your brother,
You know everything,
You see everything,
Future, present and past
Are the same in eternity's dust;
But 'everything' does not matter anymore
For you're far gone from the life's shore.
Everything you did
Everything you said
