The Past: Scarlet's P.O.V.

Hogsmeade

We were all excited about being able to go and pick out our dresses. May, Emily, and Caroline had their dates, while Lily and I still didn't. My brother had been acting a lot better around Lily and was planning on asking her to go to the ball with him today. Still I had no idea if Sirius was ever going to ask me, I wasn't even sure if he liked me at all.

Our map we were working on was going great, we even picked out a name so everyone would forever remember us. It was called the Marauders Map; after our group. I was around Sirius so often that my eyes never changed colors. My training still went well since I found the room of requirement. I even had more control over my powers.

I woke up early as usual and went to take me shower before the rest of the girls woke up. Once I was done I changed into a gold strapless dress that had a net skirt bottom. I had on a red leather jacket, red high heeled peep toe shoes, and a purse that was covered in fake roses. My jewelry consisted of a gold cuff bracelet and a gold necklace that had a small couple kissing on it. My makeup was more complicated, it had a smokey eye and red lip stick.

“Wakey Wakey!” I squealed, waking everyone in our room up.

“What!” growled Lily.

“Today we pick out our dresses. We need to be the first one's down there so we can get the best dresses!” I explained, causing them to all jump up from bed. “Hurry up!” they all scattered and got ready for the day.

When they were all ready we grabbed some food and ran out the door to the Hogsmeade train. We were the first people there so we got the closest compartment to the exit. A little while later our door opened to reveal the boys filing in. “Hey Lily I was wondering if you would go to the ball with me?” James asked, handing her a red rose. She blushed before nodding yes. “Thanks, we should be going since the train will be stopping soon,” he smiled before walking out with the others right behind him.

“He'll ask you soon don't worry, he's just worried you'll say no,” Remus said once the others were out the door and away from the compartment.

“What was that about?” asked Caroline.

“I have no idea what you're talking about!” they smirked at me as they saw through my lie.

“Sure, does it have something to do with Sirius?” asked Lily. They all broke out in smiles when they noticed me heating up.

“Fine, yes it does.” I sighed.

“You guys are perfect for each other. Plus everyone's noticed that you guys seem to lose connection to the rest of the world when you look at each other.” Emily said.

“It's so cute!” said May.

“Oh, stop lying. James and Remus said that Sirius wanted to ask me to the ball, but he was afraid of me saying no to him. Though I don't understand why since he's the reason I haven't said yes to anyone yet,” they all burst out in awwww's.

“Now you two would make an adorable love story since you both have no idea that you like each other. Though Lily and James make a cute one too, she always hated him and now she said yes to going to the ball with him.” May told us. Lily and I both turned bright red just as the train stopped. We both jumped out of our seats and ran out of the compartment to get away from our embarrassment.
