"Aris what was that?" Ava cries in fear
I swallow hard not knowing the answer.
I knock on the door to the house.
"What was that?" I askNo answer.
Then another viscous demented shirking scream flys at us like a tornado.
It's getting louder. The light at the house goes out and so does other houses lights. One by one each house turns black until Ava and I were surrounded by pure darkness.
For a full minute all you can hear is mine and Ava's breaths in the silence; that's broke when another earth-rattling, headache, making teeth shattering noise comes up the street. This time it's even more louder.
"Aris, it's getting closer." Ava whispered.
"I know." I whisper back
"What should we do?" She asks
Before I can answer
I hear stomping and other screams.
But these screams are different these screams are quieter and from fear.
I find Ava's hand and whisper"Run!"
Ava and I run all the way to a lamp post. The light is flickering like in a scary movie.
"Did we lose them?" Ava asks
"I don't kn-" I start to say but something from behind me jumps on my back ramming me into the ground.
Ava screams in fear while I try to fight back."Run Ava!" I yell when I have the breath.
I push the human off me and try to stand up but another person comes from an opposite direction. The person slams into my leg; I hear a crack following it comes deadly sharp pain.
Then more bodies smash into me.
They punch, kick, bite me. Someone slams a crowbar into me.I see something on fire, maybe a piece of wood; they throw it at me.
It impacts me on my right leg, the same leg that was already in pain.My leg cries in tormenting pain.
A tremendous large knife stamps my chest, delivering shocks and stinging through my upper body.
I scream not in fear but in deep pain.
Bodies are pushed on top of me so I can't breathe.
I push my way to air to take a breath.
I desperately take one last gulp of oxygen before another fist lands in my rib cage. My brutally beaten arms hopelessly try to block off the other kicks and punches from jamming into my flesh.
