Chapter 20

Beverly's POV

I didn't know how long I laid on the bed crying. I heard someone open the door. I looked up to see Louis. "What do you want Lou," I mumbled as I tried to deepen myself into the blankets. 

"Zayn's stupid. Everyone here knows that he likes you. He's just denying it for some stupid reason. Zayn always keeps to himself. Which means none of us has any idea what is going on in his small head," Louis said smiling and I smiled a little.

Louis closed the door. "Lou, he doesn't like me," I said.

"Bullshit. He likes you. Even the blind can see it," Louis said.

"You're joking right? He told me himself that he doesn't like me," I said scoffing.

"You know that he likes you.."

"No."

"Stop lying to yourself. You know I'm right."

"I know you're wrong."

"Zayn's lying. He feels terrible right now."

"Bullshit. If he knew it would end up this way, why did he say that to me?"

That left Louis speechless. "He really likes you. I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it."

"Wrong. He doesn't like me. If he really does which is not, he should have confessed to me, not reject me when I confessed to him. It's plain obvious that he doesn't like me, he likes another girl. Anyway this doesn't matter anymore since I'm leaving soon.."

"Leaving?! Where?!" 

"Somewhere. I want to start afresh. I'll change my name if I have to."

"You don't have to do this Bev..."

"I've thought about it. I didn't want to leave because of you guys, especially Zayn. But since I have nothing to stay behind for, why don't I just leave?"

"Zayn's just being an ass. He really likes you. Why can't you see it?"

"Because he himself told me that he doesn't like me."

"He's lying!"

"He's not. If he was, why isn't he here to say sorry?!"

"He's afraid that things will get worse..."

"If he really likes me, why can't he take the risk?"

"He doesn't want to risk your friendship with him..."

"In life, most of the things, you have to risk them to find out the real truth Lou..."

Louis looked away from me and I sighed. "Just go away. If he wanted to apologize, it shouldn't be you who is here..."

Louis stood up reluctantly. He stopped at the door. "He really likes you. Nothing will ever change." Louis said before leaving the room.

Louis is lying... Zayn doesn't like me at all.. He likes another girl... Someone I'll never be...
