The Broken Mirror

     They say that if you were to break a mirror, you would be followed by 7 years of bad luck. Well this happened to a little girl, whom I'm gonna call Ari*.
     When she was very young, her family wanted to shift to another place out of town along with her grandfather. While they were packing the things, Ari saw this old vintage looking mirror on top of a pile of junk.
     "What's this?" She asked her grandfather. But her grandfather said its useless, but do not ever break that mirror. And did not bother looking at the mirror anymore. Being a young and mischievous girl, she waited until her grandfather and parents are packing outside the room.
     She grabbed an iron hammer she found on the floor and crept into the room. She smashed the mirror and it shattered into many pieces. Staring at the shattered mirror, she felt guilty and threw the hammer away and ran out to play.
     Soon after, her grandpa saw the broken mirror and thought that it could have broken after being dumped into the pile of useless items and walked away, not giving it a second glance..... Life went on and things were going smoothly until her 10th birthday...
     Ari's mother was preparing the dishes for her birthday party when she heard the phone rang. Ari went to pick it up, only to hear an eerie voice, followed by spooky noises. "The first out of the seven is here." Thinking that it was a prank call, she hung up and told her mother about the creepy pranker. But within just a couple of minutes, they received a phone call again, this time its from the police officers, telling them about the death of Ari's grandfather after an accident..
     On her eleventh birthday, the same message came," the second out of the seven is here..." Followed by the news about her uncle's murder case.
     It continued for years during her birthday where her cousins died, her aunt and her stillborn child, and all her relatives....
     On her 16th birthday, she lost all her family members and was sent to an orphanage.
     On her 17th birthday, she was lying in her bed in the orphanage when she suddenly heard a voice whispering to her,"the last out of the seven is here.." But it didn't end there," you know, you really shouldn't have broken the mirror......."
