The night before returning home from the Vietnam war, a young soldier made a call back home," I'll be home the next day, but can I bring home a friend of mine?"
Upon hearing the news about their son's return, his parents replied," of course! As long as you are home safely, nothing is a problem."
"But before that, I want to tell you something... during the war, he accidentally stepped on a land mine, and lost an arm and a leg.... is it okay to bring him home, he needs help," the soldier said with a deep tone.
His parents went silent.
"If its only a few days then that would be fine, you know that taking care of a disabled person is really difficult and troublesome right? We can find him a place to live after a few days, we all have different roads in our lives. We can't possibly sacrifice ourselves to take care of that disabled friend forever right?"
A few seconds later, the soldier hung up the phone....
The next day, the army force made a call to the soldier's family.
The parents were told that their son has committed suicide.
When both saw their son's corpse, they broke down in tears.
