Juliet's P.O.V

"Sophia come on darling, help me bring out my new china from the store room." Debra ordered. Debra was currently my step mom. Yes, she may be my mom but I prefer her to stay as Debra. Debra and Dad have known each other for 5 years - at least that's what I think. Anything that happened before the age of 10 is almost a blur to me. I can't seem to grant any memories from those years to enter my head. I just can't.

"Don't worry about it mom, Rebecca and Jules are home." Sophia responded. Sophia was Debra's daughter but me and dad gladly excepted her in our little family. Sophia was 18 years old. Debra gave birth at a really young age. That ultimately made Debra look young for two polar opposite daughters.

"No I'm not home, sorry. You can help her out Debs." I objected, trying to make my way upstairs - to my room. Debra peaked her body from behind the kitchen wall as she shook her head, chuckling.

"Stop being lazy Juliet. Plus you have nothing to do in your room." She responded. I groaned as Sophia dragged me to the basement hallway. The corridor led to 3 rooms. One of them was the laundry, the other one was the store room and the third one was my room. Everyone has secrets. That was mine. I'm just waiting for that someone who I can let in. Entering the store room, the light flickered till it settled in its yellow shade. Rebecca and Sophia started to look around to find Debra's china.

"How was school Juliet?" Sophia asked as she frantically looked around and made eye contact with me.

"I don't know, you tell me." I shrugged, looking at Rebecca who was smirking at me.

"Oh shush. She already has boys falling for her. Who wouldn't any ways." Rebecca beamed- taking down a box from the top shelf.

"No way! Who? tell me, tell me!" Sophia begged cheerfully. She may be older than me, however she's a child at heart. She loved to gossip. Gossip, gossip and gossip. That's her life.

"Hmm, someone like Tyler..." Rebecca started as she slowly made her way to me. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Jimmy, and..."

"And..." Sophia broke in.

"Zane." Rebecca concluded.

"What?!"

"What?!" Me and Sophia chorused. No. Zane can't like me. I know Tyler and Jimmy from before, but Zane? He doesn't even know me. This is world. They always conclude on what they see. What is inside is always like a treasure; only the one's that deserve it, gets to open it. I'm not holding a specific treasure within me, but there is something that keeps me alive. And makes me, me.

"What? He was gawking at Juliet since morning. I mean the encounter they had in the morning obviously made him interested." She disclosed. They both waited for my reply. "And that only made me uninterested." I grimaced, walking out with the new china box in my arms (which was sat next to me the whole time).

They both gasped as they noticed where the china was. "You bitch." Sophia commented, making Rebecca laugh.

The whole evening Sophia, Rebecca and I were helping Debra in the kitchen and setting out the dining table, not forgetting the new china. After an hour or so, the doorbell started to chime. Sophia welcomed most of the family friends she knew of. The guests that were here so far were the Collins - two girls of my age and their parents; The Cole's' - Jimmy, his little sister and his parents; The Dallas' - Tyler and his mom.

"Evening' Mrs. Griffin." I welcomed Rose into our house after opening up the door for her. Rose hugged me in her posh manners whilst giving small kisses on the cheeks. "Hello darling, you must be the beautiful Juliet." She replied excitedly, bringing her hands together as she scanned me up and down. "Sure I'm Juliet, but I'm not sure if I'm the beautiful Juliet you seem to know." I chuckled nervously.
"Oh no, you are exactly who I assumed you'd be." She gushed, finally making her way to the diner.
