-David-
My dad was running back and forth, grabbing clothes and food. The news said that the infected areas were getting bigger by the minute and that everyone should evacuate to a refugee center that the military had set up in Atlanta. we had different plans. my father put what he could in the car before we all jumped in. we started to take the main roads but we seen the traffic and then we turned off on to a back road. When we were about a mile out my father turned around and handed me his pistol. he didn't even fully turn around when we were hit by another truck.....
"dad are you ok?"
"dad"
"Come on David" he finally called " are you ok?"
"yea ,what are we gonna do?"
my father scrambled to come up with a plan "were gonna run"
we ran until our legs burned like embers. we could finally see the churches steeple. when we got closer we could see other families had already shown up.
my mother called out in an exhausted voice,
"Father let us in"
"Gabriel please, we cant stay out here"
my fathers enraged voice called out
"let us in dammit"
my sister sobbing and trying to yell.
"please we will die, there is no where to go"
we banged on the doors and windows, begging for him to let us in. no answer. we kept pulling on the doors and windows. we yelled at the top of our lungs. he wouldn't answer. besides it didn't matter the dead were already here.
