Chapter 1

RAVEN POV

After I graduated soul academy, I was immediately sent to Karakura town to kill Hollows. I wasn't assigned to any squad, which was very disappointing. Head captain Yamamoto told me to go to Kisuke Urahara's place, and he also told me that if I ever needed help, he was there. I set off in search for Kisuke's place. I wander around town, trying to ask some people if they new where he is, but unfortunately, no one could see me.

Raven-"Ahhhh! I wish someone could tell me where Kisuke Urahara's place is!" I yelled in frustration.
????"I can help you." Someone says from behind me.

I spin around to see a young boy. He has brown eyes, orange spiky hair, and is fairly tall.

Raven-"That would be great...wait, you can see me?" I asked, stunned.
????-"Well yeah, why wouldn't I?" He questioned.
Raven-"Because no humans are suppose to be able to see me...unless? Are you a soul reaper or a substitute soul reaper?" I asked.
????-"I am a substitute soul reaper. My name is Ichigo Kurosaki, what's yours?"
Raven-"I'm Raven Saito, it's nice to meet you, Ichigo."

'This kid could he really be one? I don't know. I'll find out sooner or later.'

Ichigo-"C'mon, I'll bring you to Kisuke's place." He said as he started to walk off.
Raven-"Okay." I said, and followed him.

About ten minutes later we were at Kisuke's shop. I thanked Ichigo politely before he left. I knocked on the door, but heard nothing. I open the door, and see a small candy shop. I walk in, looking around interestedly for a moment, my eyes scanning the numerous shelves of brilliantly coloured candies.

Raven-"Hello, is anyone here?" I called.

I heard shuffling in the back room, then someone with messy blond, short hair that covers his eyes, topped with a green and white striped hat, wearing a green cloak, and clogs came through the door.

????-"Well hello there, I have been waiting for you." He said excitedly.
Raven-"You have? Then you must be Kisuke."
Kisuke-"Yes I am. Come on inside, I have a gigai for you." He said kindly.

I walked inside to find a cozy looking home. I sat down at a table in the sitting area while I waited for him to bring my gigai to me. A few minutes later, he came back with it.

Kisuke-"Here you go." He said as he gave me the gigai, and then I put it on.
Raven-"Thank you."
Kisuke-"Your welcome. What's your name, and do you have a place to stay?" He asked kindly.
Raven-"No, I don't, and my name is Raven Saito." I said sadly.
Kisuke-"You could stay here if you want."
Raven-"Yeah, that would be great." I chirped happily.
Kisuke-"Come, I'll show you to your room." He said as he left the room, with me following closely behind.

When we were almost there, we ran into a tall man. He had short, black hair, a moustache, glasses, and was very muscular.

????-"Mr. Urahara who is this young lady?" He asked curiously.
Kisuke-"This is Raven Saito, she'll be staying with us for a while."
????-"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Saito. I'm Tessai Tsukabishi." He said, and bowed to me.
Raven-"It nice to meet you, too, and please call me Raven."
Tessai-"Alright, I'll be going now." He said, and left.

We continued to go to the room I would be staying at. When we got there, he turned to me to speak.

Kisuke-"Here is you room. If there is anything you need don't be afraid to ask. I have already put some soul candy in your room."
Raven-"Thank you very much." I said happily.
Kisuke-"No problem. It's getting late, you should get some sleep." He said kindly, and left.

I entered my room then crawled into bed. 'It's been a long, and stressful day. I hope tomorrow will be better.'
