Mine (SoulXMaka)

Maka's POV
"Soul what is wrong with you?" I say to Soul as he walks past me to his room.
"I told you it was nothing," Soul says as he slams the door of his bedroom door.
This has been going on for about a week now. It was almost like it came out of nowhere when he woke up with a deep hatred toward everyone. He hasn't even talked to BlackStar, who is his best friend. It was only a week ago where the whole group was at a party and having a lot of fun and after that he has barely talked to me. I know something must have happened at the party but I just don't know. He seemed fine the entire night. Even through battles he has been so moody which has made us lose almost every fight. We aren't even a team anymore.

I go to my room and just sit at the end of my bed. Blair comes in and jumps up on my lap.
"What is up with Soul? He has been so moody," Blair says before licking her paws.
"I don't know Blair," I say with a sign. It breaks me to see him like this. Its almost like he doesn't want to be my partner anymore.

I soon just flop back on my bed and feel myself falling asleep until I am waken up by a loud crash coming from Soul's room before a large amount swear words follow. I jump up and run to Soul's door. I don't even both to knock due to pure worry racing through me. As I enter Soul's room I see a smashed vases shattered across the floor then as I look closer I see some blood. Soon I see Soul curled up in the corner of the room gripping his hand. I walk over to him avoiding the broken vase and kneel down next to him. That was when I saw the tears coming from his eyes.

"Common Soul, lets clean you up before this gets infected," Soul just shakes his head and follows me to the kitchen.
As I am sitting there cleaning his wound I decide to break the silence.
"Soul? How did you break the vase?" I say looking at him.
He then lifts his head up and replies, "I through it across the room."
Soul then just drops his head again and before I could ask why he say, "because I was angry."
"Soul, please just talk to me. Why were you angry? Why have you been so distant lately?" I ask.
There was a pause and then a deep sigh from Soul.
"It is because I love you."
I just stare at him. He just looks at me a continues.
"I have been so angry because I know that I could never be with you. When we were at the party, when I saw you having so much fun, all I wanted to do was hold you. I wanted to be the reason you laugh and to be the guy who can stand next to you and tell guys to back off but I couldn't do that because your not mine. It hurts me so much that I can barely be around you. You will never be mine Maka and thats why I have been so angry!" Tears begin to stream down his face.

Before I even thought about what I was doing I kiss he. I could taste his salty tears and a little be of blood. I continued to kiss his but more passionately as he returns the kiss. As I pull away slowly I say, "I will always be yours and you will always be mine".
