Chapter 7: I want to have a car

Samantha's POV
(Room)

I was about to sleep when someone knocks on my room's door

"Come in" I said while my eyes still close

"Sammy?" kuya tristan(eldest) asked.i knew it was him because of his firm and sweet voice.

"What?" i said opening my eyes

"How was your first day?" he knew that I don't like coming to school.

"Hell." I said with my sarcastic voice

"Sammy,you should take your study seriously.You know it's for your own good."

"I'll try kuya"

"Yes you should anyway I'm sorry I wasn't able to take you to school and fetch you"

"It's okay." Opss,maybe it sounds not real

"Sammy?"he asked

"It's fine kuya don't worry"i said

"I know it's not sammy,now tell me what happened?"

"Kuya,I almost hit by a car,near get raped and killed." I said

"What?!" He said hysterically

"Kuya,I said I'm fine at hindi mabilis mamatay ang masamang damo hence I'm still here and alive,seriously kuya no need to worry".I said

"No,it's not.I'll take you to school and fetch you untill you're allowed to drive your own car or you have your own driver" he said

"But kuya,we are not the same schedule I'm earlier than yours."

"No buts sammy,you need to be safe.and yes you're earlier but I can handle it. I'll just wake up early." He said

"Tss do whatever you want kuya"

"Oh I forgot,come on the dinner is ready"

I nod then we left our room

(Dinner)

"Hey" I said to all of them to notice that we're already here.they're all busy with their own business.

We started to eat.ughh deafening silence.

"Dad!mom!We need to ensure sammy safety" Kuya tristan broke the silence

dad and mom just look at him confused

"She almost got killed and hit by a car" kuya Tristan said

"What happened Sammy?" Mom asked with her worried tone

"Sammy!i told you don't make dumbness your hobby,hahaha" kuya Terrence said with his clowny voice.tss seriously kuya terrence?!

I just throw a death glare to kuya Terrence to stop him laughing.why is he like that?he looks like an idiot.he's just the one who is laughing.

Blah blah blah.Kuya explained it for me.

"I need a car" I said

"No,you don't know how to drive" dad said

"Then I will learn how to drive a car" I said

"How?can you face your fear now?"dad asked

(Flashback)

I asked kuya tristan to teach me how to drive a car when I was 15 years old.

"Kuya can you teach me how to drive?" I asked him when we're in his car heading home from the mall.

"Why?" He asked

"Nothing,I just want to learn new things." I said

He seemed unsatisfied with my answer

"Promise,it's just that" I raised my hand as a sign of promising and I give him my puppy eyes.it will work I swear no one can't say no with my puppy eyes.

"Okay,but promise me one thing sammy.don't tell anyone" I nod

we kept it as a secret it's just between I and kuya.kuya Terrence don't know it because he will just tell it to mom and dad.dad will get furious and mom will get scared of something that will happen if I drive at my young age.

"Sammy,look at me first.observe all the things that I'm doing when I'm driving"kuya said

"Sir!yes sir!" I said acting like a soldier

Kuya told me all the things I should do when I'm driving and he told me all the use of anything in the car

(The day after tomorrow)

"Sammy,I'm gonna teach you to finally drive a car"he said

"Omg,omg.let's go!" i said

We went far from our house but we're still in our subdivision.we don't want to get caught because we don't want dad and mom get mad.

"Sammy,remember all the things I said.always look in front,pay attention on the road.okay?" Kuya said

"Okay,okay I remember it,you already said that nth times kuya" I said impatient

"Sammy we need to be careful we need to secure our safety" kuya said

"Fine" I said

First step : check ✔️
Second step : check ✔️
Third step : check ✔️
so on and so fourth

"I know how to drive!yes yes yes!thanks kuya!I love you so much" I said while I'm still driving and I hug kuya and kiss him when the car still working.

"Sammy!I said pay attention look on the road!" Kuya said

Then I look on the road I was shock because there's a girl near get hit by the car that I was driving.I'm panicking I don't know what to do.

"Sammy!Preno!" Kuya said shouting

I'm already crying I can't move.then I heard a noise,I saw a girl laying on the road she has a blood on her head.kuya stopped the car.

he went outside to check the girls condition.i went to passengers seat and kuya put the girl on the backseat ,kuya drives the car heading to hospital.

I didn't go outside the car to see what's happening inside the hospital.I was so afraid.

I saw kuya walking towads me.we went home.he told mom and dad about what happened they're all mad at kuya Tristan.I feel guilty.they're all fighting because of what happened because of me.

They'll pay the hospital bills and give money to the girls parent.

I hear mom and kuya having a conversation stating that the girl is dead.

And starting that day I don't wanna drive car.

(End of flashback)

"I will,I can.on the other hand I'm sure about it" i said to dad

"Well then okay" dad said

Mom is a bit scared because it's perilous

"Tomorrow red car will arrive,but you can't use it until you know how to drive"

"Yes dad." I said

"But seriously Samantha Marie are you okay?" Kuya Terrence asked

Omfg he's so damn serious.all of them only call me in Samantha Marie when they're serious

"I'm fine" I give them a smile to assure them.

After the dinner I went to sleep.this day is such a tiring day.
