•Arabella POV•

6 Months Earlier

The ringing of my phone pierced the silent air and jolted me awake from my amazing dream. I slowly rose from my bed and looked at the time, and immediately groaned.

5:30.

There has to be a good reason for someone to interrupt my precious beauty sleep by calling me at 5:30 in the morning. I groggily reached for my phone and looked at the caller ID.

I groaned again once I saw the name on the screen. It was my best friend Violet. Now don't get me wrong, I love her to death. It's just that when she calls me this early in the morning, it usually isn't a good thing.

"There has to be a good reason for you to be calling me at 5 in the morning," I grumbled unhappily in to the phone.

"Oh, good morning to you too. I'm great, thank you. How are you?" she replied sarcastically. "By the way, it's 5:30, not 5."

"Does it even matter? It's still too early. Anyways, why are you calling?"

"Oh right. Do you remember that party downtown that I was talking about, like for the past two weeks?"

"The one with that new boy band playing?"

"They're not a boy band. And they are called Euphoria and they are amazing! But yeah, that one. Well, a mutual friend has an extra ticket, so you can come to the party with me!" she rushed excitedly in the phone.

"Well, that sounds great but I don't really want to go. I'm not into that kind of scenes, plus I was already planning to spend a relaxing day today writing songs or catching up on some shows," I explained.

"I hate to break it to you, girlie, but we both know you're not going to write a single word today. And however good binge watching Netflix by yourself may be, it's not a way to spend your Saturday afternoon."

"Also, when I invited you coming along to the party, you never actually had an option because you're going with me whether you want to or not."

"More like not," I grumbled into the phone.

"Great! I'm so glad you agreed to come!"

"I don't even have something to wear. I never go to one of these parties." I tried one last excuse to get out of going to the party.

"Well, you're in luck because I'm already inside your house."

"What? How did you?" I spluttered.

"Bella, I've been your best friend for four years now. You're very predictable and you made the mistake of giving me my own key to your apartment," she replied to my unfinished questions.

"I don't even remember giving you a key. I don't know what to say now to you little thief."

"How about you hang up the phone and come show me where your Lucky Charms are. I'm starving."

I hung my phone and trudged into the kitchen, only to see her already eating a bowl of Lucky Charms.

"What happened to not knowing where the Lucky Charms were?" I asked her.
