• Arabella POV •
The next morning, I awoke pretty early, still restless from the events of the previous night. I slowly got out of the comfy bed and walked out into the kitchen where, to my surprise, I found Violet already sitting at the table and eating a bowl of cereal.
"Oh I thought you would be sleeping in more," I told her. "You were pretty tired last night."
"Yeah I know. Sorry I bailed on you for our Friends ice cream party."
"It's fine. We can always have one tonight." I got myself a bowl of Lucky Charms and sat down next to her at the table. We sat there for a while, silently eating our cereal, still not fully awake.
"Hey before I fell asleep, I remember you were going to tell me something. Something about Callum Sharpton holding my hand?"
"Oh you remembered that," I said surprised. "Well yeah, I did want to tell you something but it doesn't exactly have to do with that."
"Oh ok. So what's it about?"
"I have a feeling you're going to freak out so let's go sit on the couch." Becoming even more intrigued, she followed me to the couch and sat down, staring at me suspiciously.
"So, you know how I stayed in the back for the first half of the show?" A quick nod gave me confirmation to continue. "Well that's partly true. I stayed back there until I got annoyed with all these people pushing me around. I randomly happened to find a backstage pass on the floor, so I had to convince some security guards to let me through and used it to sneak backstage."
"I don't believe you. I've known you for four years and you're not definitely not the kind of person to lie or steal. I need proof." Thankful that I know my best friend so well, I went back into the bedroom to take the pass that I kept from last night. When I showed her, her mouth dropped in surprise.
"Holy smokes! You're not lying! I guess you have learned a thing or two from being my friend," she said with a mischievous smile. She was now fully awake and eagerly listening to what I had to say next.
"So after I made it backstage, I began to explore around and look at all the rooms. I eventually found the music room, filled with guitars and keyboards and instruments I've never even seen before. It was so beautiful and magical, I thought I was dreaming." She rolled her eyes at my description of the room but didn't say anything.
"You know me, I couldn't resist, I couldn't help myself. I just had to try out one of the keyboards. So while I was playing and singing, someone entered the room. Turns out it was Callum, the lead singer from the band." Cue Violet to start shrieking and falling off the couch.
"WHAT?! You met Callum Sharpton and you didn't think to TELL ME?!"
"I did tell you. Just now."
"But not right after it happened?!" she spluttered out. "OMG! You got to meet freaking THE CALLUM SHARPTON!" I gave her a couple minutes to develop the news, which was basically her screaming some more and running around the room. When she had finally calmed down a little bit, I proceeded with my story.
"So, after I found out it was Callum, we talked for a little while and he was really sweet."
"What does he look like up close?" she asked.
"What do you mean? You were the one who held his hand last night! You could see him up close!"
"Yeah but it was dark," she whined. "It's not the same thing as being in the same room face to face with him."
