Hey baby," Hayes greeted me as I entered Nash's apartment, where he was staying currently. He kissed my cheek, and escorted me into the living room.
"Hey," I smiled at him.
We sat down to the couch and he pulled me onto his lap. Once I was hugging his torso with my legs he nuzzled his face into my neck. I loved it when he was all cuddly and cute.
"So what did you want to talk about?" he asked looking up at me. I took a deep breath and decided it would be the best if I just said it.
"Uhm, so today the director had a new idea about one of the scenes." I felt him tensing up a bit, but he didn't say anything, so I continued. "We have to make a kissing scene and I wanted to talk about it with you."
He stayed silent, nodded a few times and then looked at me.
"No." That was all he said.
"What do you mean no?" I asked confused.
"You won't make a kissing scene, not as long as I'm on this planet."
"Hayes, that's not... You can't... It's my job, I have to do it!" I protested. He knew how much my career meant to me, I have always wanted to be an actress and this movie was my big chance. It was a comedy, where I played a seventeen year old girl and I had a crush on my school mate, who was played by Dylan Sprayberry. Even though I was fifteen, I got the role because I looked older than my age.
Hayes and I had been together for almost one year and he supported me in every way, and I thought he would be more understanding.
"Baby, I don't want you to kiss some other guys on screen."
"But the director want me to do it. You know it doesn't mean anything, this is my job. But I will still be your girlfriend, it's just a meaningless kiss."
He wasn't sure what to think about it. I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.
"I don't want you to kiss him," he said but this time he was like a scared little boy.
"I know and I wouldn't do it if I had a choice. But I don't have one. Please, Hayes, this movie means a lot to me." I looked at him pleading, my gaze never leaving his.
"Can I go with you? I want to be there," he said in a low voice.
"Are you sure you want to?"
"I want to be there," he stated.
"Okay. If you want to, I will get you in."
I wasn't sure how all this would end, but I wanted to make sure Hayes wouldn't freak out about this whole situation, and if he needed to watch it for this, I was willing to do it for him.
The next day I told my driver to pick him up and we went to the studio together. He was by my side all along while my make up and hair was being done. He was eyeing everything and everyone, sometimes I had to remind him that this is a movie set, not a bank robbery.
He held my hands all the time, or my waist, just to show everyone that we are a couple. He had never been more jealous than that day.
"Alright, are you done Y/N?" one of the cameramen asked me. I nodded and we walked to the set, where Dylan was already there.
He was a nice guy, we had a lot of fun on the shooting, but Hayes had nothing to worry about, we would never be more than just friends.
"Hey Dylan, this is my boyfriend, Hayes," I said introducing them to each other.
"It's nice to meet you, Y/N has already told me about you so much," Dylan said smiling and shaking hands with Hayes.
"Nice to meet you too." I was thankful Hayes didn't play the macho in front of Dylan, but I could see how tensed he was.
The director came to us and we talked about the scene, where we had to stand and things like that. Hayes stood behind me hugging my waist as long as he could, but then he had to leave and stand outside of the set.
"I love you, okay? Please don't lose your mind," I said to him hugging his torso tightly.
"I love you too. I'll be there waiting for you, I'll be a good boy." He even smiled at me and it made me calmer a bit. He kissed me quickly and then left.
Dylan and I took our places and when we heard the director saying "ACTION!" we started the scene.
"So, I heard you did all of this." Dylan stepped closer to me with his hands tugged in his pockets. I shrugged smiling.
"No big deal. But did you like it?" I stepped closer to him just like the director told me to.
"Yes, but there is one thing I would like even more." Two more lines.
"And what would it be?"
"This." And with that he pulled me closer to him and kissed me.
He was a good kisser, but I just didn't feel the sparkles I had with Hayes. I put my hands on his arms and tried to make it as real as it was possible. Then he ended the kiss and looked me in the eyes.
"I kinda liked it too," I said looking up to him biting my lip and smiling at him.
"CUT!" And with that the scene ended.
"It was perfect! We don't even need to do it once more. Brilliant!" the director told us. "Five minutes, go get the extras!"
"Uhm, will you excuse me?" I smiled at Dylan nodding towards Hayes.
"Sure, see you in a bit." He waved at me and then left.
I walked over to Hayes and I was totally scared what he would do, I was afraid he would be mad at me, but when I got to him he just grabbed me and pulled me into a tight hug.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked burying my face into his neck.
"Am I fucking jealous? Yes. But am I mad? No, because now I get it, that it is your job." I was so relieved hearing his words.
"I love you, Hayes, and thank you," I said lacing my fingers into his hair.
"Don't thank me. I'm just supporting you no matter what."
I leaned back so I could kiss him finally. It was so different than the previous one with Dylan. It was real and full of love.
"Am I better than Dylan?" he asked our lips still touching. I laughed and nodded.
"Way better. Now come here and kiss me again."
