The Borne Theory

Chapter 5

"What's wrong sir?" Harry was looking bit scared as he never saw Mathias this tensed.

"I guess we should head back to the office and Harry you take this woman's body to the forensics." Mathias and Harry went their ways out of the house.

Mathias reached his destination, his office.

*ring* *ring*
The telephone rang abruptly.

Mathias picked up the phone.

"Am I talking to Mr. Mathias?"

"Yes. What of it?"

"Your friend, probably named Harry has been shot twice in his chest and he is currently under the supervision of the ICU Core Team."

"WHAT!" Mathias stood dumbstruck.

After asking the details about the location, Mathias rushed to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, he quickly went to the room where Harry was lying. He was unconscious.

Mathias stood their by his side.

After a couple hours, Harry was showing signs of consciousness.

And gradually Harry came back to life.

"Huh. You got me worried there! Are you alright?

A slight soft voice was coming of Harry's mouth, replied,"I am alright sir. Thanks for the visit."

"What happened to you? Who did this?"

"I don't know. But they stole the woman's body from my car. They were six in numbers and 3 of them had ammunition with them." Harry replied.

"Huh. So that's the case. Well, anyway you should get some proper bed rest. I will be here by your side here."

As Mathias said these lines Harry's eyes dropped and he started to rest.

Mathias stood there.

Mathias now had a better understanding of the situation. Mathias was in his thoughts.

"Why will anyone attack Harry? It was on purpose of course as the attackers took the body of the woman and they didn't rob Harry. It had to do something with the woman of course. What possibly it could be!? The gunshot! The bullet didn't pass through the woman so it had to be inside the woman. But! What of the bullet? The attackers wanted the bullet back? Was there anything other than that about the woman? Uh. First I have to consider the case of that they wanted the bullet back. But why? A bullet? Seriously? Uh. Maybe the bullet was a special kind of bullet and if any other person would get that he could get a clue. And now this seems possible to me. I don't think any other possibility is there about the women because then they could've kidnapped the women any time but why in front of anyone. The bullet, yes. It has to be it, and then the JIM CARTER thing, that worries me."

The next day arrives.

Mathias slept in the hospital that day and as tomorrow approached Harry was conscious to it's fullest.

Mathias explained his hypothesis to Harry. Harry found it quite legit to believe.

"Harry get well soon and please rest for it." Mathias adviced Harry.

"Sir, you know that this is not the first time I'm shot. You know that I get well by doing my job!" Harry requested.

"Ahh! No Harry! Not at all!" Mathias replied quickly as he was concerned about him and not still sure that the attackers wouldn't attack Harry again as he has some clues about the attackers.

"Well then Sir I will come to my work as I see fit after resting and one for thing. You were about to tell me something about the last words of the woman?" Harry asked his question with all his energy.

Mathias sighed and then replied.
"What I'm guessing this JIM CARTER is not human."

"What?" - Harry.

Mathias left the hospital.
