The Borne Theory

Chapter 4

They went to the first Jim Carter.

Knocked the door.

A woman came out, "Is there Jim Carter inside?" Harry asked. The woman. "Yes, but who are you?" She replied. "We are detectives, Miss, can we meet Jim?" Harry asked to the woman. She agreed to let them in.

They found that Jim Carter was a 10 year old boy, they showed the chit to the boy and asked if he knew anything single thing about it.

But, no.

Their hope was still in their hearts, that this clue would definetly win them gold.

The second Jim Carter was found.

"Knock Knock!", Harry knocked the door.
The gate wouldn't open.
Again Harry knocked the door
The gate wouldn't open again.
Both Harry and Mathias were growing suspicious.

Mathias banged the door!
"Hey, whosoever is there open the damn door!".
Suddenly a drunkard lady appeared on the doorstep.

"Why you were not opening the door!?"

"Reply me!!"

Harry shouted at her as Mathias observed. The lady was not answering at all.

Mathias asked gently, "Where is Carter?"
Lady suddenly replied, "Carter who?"

"Jim Carter."

The lady was, from nowhere, thunder struck. The red deep nerves in her eyes were getting swollen. The crumbled up hairs on her limbs were getting up. Her body started shaking.

And then, out of no where! She attacked Mathias and Harry with her flesh-tearing nails! Mathias immediately took out his taser and shot her with the charge.

The body of the lady was lying down just in front if their feet. Harry was frightened by it.

The lady when woke up. She found herself tied up to a chair and in a strange looking room with a tube light just above her.

Mathias entered the room, it was Mathias's office.

Mathias without any further delay started to cross question about Jim Carter.

But, every time Mathias mentioned the words 'Jim' 'Carter', the lady was going mad and was trying to break free!

Mathias shouted, "WHO'S JIM CARTER!?", and finally he had a reply.

" AAAHHH! THERE'S NO JIM CARTER YOU FOOL! IT'S RIC.."

*GUNSHOT*

A bullet broke through the window and make it's way through the woman's head.

The chair on which the lady was sitting falls, the eyes of the lady were relieved in joy as if she was dying to die.

Mathias quickly took cover and watched through the broken window.

Nothing was there! Nothing!

Mathias was totally shocked.

Harry came in running! Mathias shouts, "Take cover Harry!". Harry takes a cover immediately. Both the hearts were beating faster than ever.

Mathias and Harry ducked their way out of the room. The lady's body was sent for forensics.

Mathias was looking at the chit he got earlier continuously.

"Staring at the chit won't work, Sir." Harry said in a bit afraid voice.

Harry was totally frightened by these events.

Mathias was continuously thinking about the last words of the lady.

"She said there's no Jim Carter, there's Rick." Mathias said to Harry.

Harry sat down and started to have some thought bubbles about it.

Mathias suddenly stood up, banging the chair on the back wall and said.

"I think I got it."

"No, no I believe so. Oh no."

"This is bad, if I'm right. Harry just hope I'm not."
