Hi to all! How's everything going on? I wasn't able to update for quiet a long time since I planned to write atleast 3 chapters before I publish everything. So this one is the first chapter! I hope you'd be able to read all of them when I finally decided to publish it.

Listen to Vertical Horizon's "Your A God". (Its a bit old but this song rocks!)

Love y'all! ;)

Xian's POV

"How was she?"I asked my sister worriedly. I didn't know why I was feeling so nervous. This feeling's killing me. My hands were sweating a lot. Chloe's still unconscious, as soon as I lay her down on her bed, she's still burning because of her fever. She was shivering, as I wiped her face and forehead with a wet lukewarm towel.

"She's now stable. In case her temperature continues to rise, call me ASAP. Or better yet, bring her to the hospital. I'd be in night shift so I would be there, too. I could look after her condition very well until she got better" she explained.

"Right! I'd do that. Thanks Belle."

"Don't thank me yet. Your patient's not yet recovered."

"I know she will, soon."I smiled timidly to my sister.

"I don't understand what you're doing X. Why are you helping her this much?"she questioned me.

I couldn't looked at her eyes directly. Because I was confused with myself, too. She knew me very well, my attitude towards people, towards strangers, towards women.

"I don't know Belle. I just couldn't stay away from her. She looks so vulnerable, so delicate, so fragile."I explained to her. I was looking at Chloe's peaceful aura while she was sleeping soundly. I couldn't met my sister's gaze. I could feel her eyes staring at me, surveying my face. I turned my back. I couldn't let her see my broken emotions. I should be strong. I shouldn't let these emotions took control of me again.

"Look X, I know that you have such a big heart. You don't need to tell me everything, just always remember that I am here for you. But please don't burden yourself too much, like you were once before."I nodded. She held my hands and squeezed them. The warmth that she's giving comforted me. And I knew, that's all I need for now.

"I need to go now. I still need to check my patients. Call me anytime."

"I will sis, thanks!" I walked with her towards the door. I kissed her cheeks before waving goodbye.

I walked back to Chloe's room. She's got a nice place. Her room wasn't the usual lady's room where different shades of pink were screaming in every corner. Hers were combinations of apple green and lavender. It still looks feminine because of the floral printouts on the walls. Her bed had a color of cream and a soft quilted sheet of light punch of yellow and orange.

I looked at her face intently. I had looked at it closely for several times already but I just couldn't get enough. I couldn't solve the mystery that's yelling in my mind. I was starting to get sleepy when I heard her murmur in a low voice.

"D-daniel, please come back. Please. . . I need you." She muttered between sobs. She was hallucinating. Her eyes were still closed and her body was shaking.

I tapped her temple. I cursed under my breath the moment I felt her skin, she was burning again. I decided to text my sister and informed her to send an ambulance at Chloe's place to pick us up. I was starting to get panic. I held her hands and she was holding me back. I was supposed to pick her up when she hung her hands on my neck. She opened her eyes slowly and I met her warm gaze.
