It was already summer and the gang headed out for some adventure like they would always do since Senior High. The group would always go to different places trying out different heart-pumping-adrenaline activities.
The group of six -- James, Tryon, Alex, Jenny, Monique and Courtney, made the gang.
Alex Johnson was Tryon's best friend, he was the best quarterback any football team could have. He was a blond but had a thin scar that run down his left eye.
Jenny Stevens and Monique Weber, two brunettes who were the head chearleaders when they were still in high school and were now the heads of the sorority capa house.
James was Courtney's older brother. He was more of a hockey player and Courtney was more of a figure skater. Both of the Miller's loved the ice but they loved the ocean more.
Tryon Adams was the jock of the team. He was the star football player, the captain of the basketball team and the head of the swim team. He'd done all kinds of extremes -- base jumping, zip lining, volcano boarding, canyon swinging, bungee jumping, cliff-face camping, skydiving, bridge climbing and even storm chasing.
The gang wanted to try cliff diving, so they decided to go to Alcapulco, Mexico, the Miller's hometown, and here they were.
Tryron was in his swimwear and was standing on the edge of La Quebrada cliff looking down below at the crushing waves that pounded its fierce waters against the tall sharp rocks.
As it started to get darker and darker, the winds blew harder, and the Miller's knew that a storm was coming.
"Alright everybody, let's do this!" Tryon said excitedly as he rubbed his hands together with a sly smile.
He started loosening himself up and the rest was changing into their swimwear, except for Courtney.
She looked blankly ahead, her eyes locked at the very edge of the cliff, her heart pounded slowly but hard.
"Light 'em brother!" Chad said excitedly giving James two torches.
James lit them with a big smile on his face.
"Boo!" Courtney said from behind Chad, startling him.
"Really Court? Really?" Chad asked in disbelief as he handed Courtney a lighted torched.
"Sorry, just excited here!" she squealed as she clapped her hands.
"Unless you want to end your excitement and get ourselves caught by mom and dad, you could start shutting up now," James said a bit annoyed as he lit the third torch.
It was a summer night and the Miller siblings wanted to try cliff diving during the night. Torch in hand, the strong wind and the crashing waves made the adrenaline surge through them.
James went first and swam safely towards the shore below. It was Chad's turn but the wind got stronger. Courtney knew something wasn't right.
Chad was about to jump when Courtney got hold of him. He looked at her annoyed.
"I think you shouldn't do this," Courtney said worriedly.
"Don't be a scaredy-cat Court, if you don't want to jump then don't. I, on the other hand, have waited all my life for this," Chad said and made a run towards the edge.
Courtney closed her eyes then heard a big splash. She gave out a sigh of relief but something told her there's something wrong. The next thing she heard her name was being shouted.
She looked down and saw a figure of James waving frantically, she could imagine his worried expression painted across his face. She looked at the water and didn't see Chad coming out. She started to panic. James can't help him, there's no way he could get in that trench, the waves are too strong.
