The silent prey

A bush rustled, and out hopped a rabbit. It's small feet sounded almost silently as the game swiftly leaped from rock to rock, tree root to tree root. Little groups of dust spewed out of its paws, and it's feet kept hitting the ground with a loud thud.
A teen with mintish- teal, flowing hair jumped out from a tree, and strung an arrow on her large, oak bow.
She pulled it far back, the rabbit was getting away, but the teen stood calm. Aiming, she let out a slow breath, and released the arrow. It flew sraight, and hit the rabbit, dead center in its eye. The eye popped, and black liquid dripped from it as the rabbit realed to its side, and collapsed onto the ground.
The girl eyed the rabbit with her unusual, violet eyes, making sure that her prey was dead. It was, and she quickly made her way to it, hauling the rabbit over her shoulder. She fastened it's paws with a rope and layed it alongside two other rabbits and one large badger. "Nice catch Mint, that should feed all of us for a good span of time." Another voice said. It was tall 16 year old who jumped down from the tree.
"Thanks Sasha" Mint nodded. They walked over to a large bunker that was hidden inside a wall of brambles. Sasha slid open the metal door and they stepped in. "Where's Dusk?" Mint questioned. Sasha shrugged, and pulled the badger from the rope that Mint was holding, and she started to skin it. Mint, on the other hand, simply pushed the two rabbits into the furnace, and lit it, slowly roasting the prey.
"I'm going to go outside, I think I saw an elk not far from here." Mint said after a while. Sasha nodded
"I guess I'll just have to hunt down some squirrels as well, to store up since winter is coming soon." Sasha replied.
Mint headed outside, and deeply inhaled the fresh, crisp autumn air. The breeze ruffled her gray tank top, and she smiled at the scent of the outdoors. She walked along a thin sidewalk, and there was a rustle behind her......
