Staring down at the flood, Porter never knew one person could cause so much destruction. The Dark Soldiers were washed away by the fifty foot tide from the river, and their army ceased. The path of the tsunami led to the city, where the other troops were situated. Even Soal was agape at the destruction. Many kiwis joined the audience of the 'battle' along the edge of the canyon.
Soal ran towards the unnaturally steep mountains ahead of them, the reason that the army was originally going to cross the Dam. Because the high hills around Meinhaym were shaped like a sort of bowl, the entire city would be flooded, and the water would be kept in the kingdom. But the force of the water would also topple the impossibly high ridge in their way. That meant they could keep going. Porter and the army followed him near. Soon, the water was gushing down the canal, into the city, smashing the already ravaged buildings and trees, and destroying the Dark Soldiers that were all there. Within minutes, the whole of Meinhaym had been flooded.
Soal's prediction was correct, but the mountain was leaning towards the army, so the water's force caused the range to plummet towards the army. "Back! Quickly!" Soal exclaimed, and the army followed him as he raced away from the ridge. A boulder broke from the mountain, and another, and another. As time went by, and the army escaped from the range of the tumble, an avalanche was due. Dust and smoke gathered on the stone, and the elevation of ground met its source.
The mountain, now fallen, was now a slight hill, a tiny hindrance on Soal's quest. As he began to walk forward, as the dust cleared, and Porter gave him back his walking-spear, the army roared with excitement. A new chapter of the adventure had begun again, and three of Soal's closest friends walked up to him.
"Ha ha, very funny, jerk," Retna smirked and told Soal, holding her dragon crossbow. "I knew you were going to do that, but you didn't have to be that showy. Sheesh!" Then it was Anter's turn. Similarly to what she did when the first battle was complete, she leaped at him and hugged him tightly.
"That was amazing! Your times are so much more interesting than mine," she complemented as Kiwi walked up. Soal smiled.
"Ho ho, impressive," he raised his eyebrow. "Nice job. But we must go on. times are changing. We must make our way to the fortress." The trio trotted back to their places in the army formation.
Porter was sure to give a usual motivation. "Today is triumphant, but this is only the tip of the iceberg of the war for the Great Sea. Soal is right, we must keep moving. Let's go!" His hollering could be heard almost across the whole basin, and Soal wondered how he could keep his throat from becoming so hoarse. The army began to walk once more, closer to the fortress every step.
