Beep. Beep. Beep.
"Nooo." I mumble into my blanket. The memories of last night flooded back to my brain, jolting me awake. I sit up thinking about the messages and the muffled voice. I mean with the message I know it makes sense, someone was obviously trying to scare me, however it makes sense. But that muffled voice I heard was really freaky, and didn't make any sense at all. How could I hear a voice as if it was right beside me when only my mother and I live in this house while my dad's away on business? I can't believe all that happened within less than 24 hours.
I get up a decide that dwelling on things I don't know won't help me, so I start my every day routine before grabbing my school bag and jog down the stairs.
"Wow your up on time, I thought I was gonna have to pull you out of bed again" my mum laughs as I take out the cereal and milk.
"It's probably just a lucky day" I say with a chuckle. I savage through my cereal and walk out the door wanting to step out a few minutes early into the breeze. I check through my usual apps whilst leaning on the wall until I come across messages. A sense of bravery floods through me as I start typing;
"Who are you?" Ok send. I don't exactly expect this person to tell me who they are but I feel like once I have started to talk to them I may find out more about who this is. Within 30 seconds I get a reply saying.
"Oh hello. I was just about to message you, but I'm flattered you texted first. When you get to school, I want you to go to classroom EN4 and take what's in the third drawer in the desk. Make sure no one notices."
Frustrated with these stupid threats and commands I type;
"WTF. I don't even know who you are so I'm not going to follow up on your empty threats."
Again, within seconds I get another reply.
"You will do as I say, or else you and Miss Keegan Miller might as well spend the day together as if it were her last."
Completely shocked and terrified I shut my phone and shove it in my bag just as Keegan pulls up.
"Hey, girl. I just wanted to say thanks for yesterday, because I realised that Landon really wasn't worth my sadness."
I look up at her glance up at her, give a quick smile as I get in the car and say, "Yeah, no problem. So how was your day yesterday? Everything... normal?"
"Well yeah I guess. Why?" she asks curiously.
"Oh, no reason. Just asking." I reply quickly, and then turn the radio on to clear the awkwardness. She gives me a curious look before turning back to the road, and driving us all the way to Lake Valley Highschool.
As we walked up to my locker I felt a heavy presence behind me, and turn around to come face to face with Landon. He looks down at me giving this million dollar smile, as if he's expecting me to fan girl or something. Now he's a popular jock with an athlete's body and has dirty blond hair with blue eyes, no surprise that he's good looking. He is found really hot by a lot of girls, and even guys, but to me his attitude just ruins it all. I give him this kinda pissed look since he's not saying anything and open my locker, as I begin putting textbooks in it, he walks over to the other side, leans on the lockers and says
"Hey sweet pie, wanna take down my number just in case you're feeling lonely some nights?"
I give him a disgusted look and roll my eyes.
"I don't think a night with you is worth me getting herpes. Thanks for the offer though!" I sarcastically smile as I close my locker head towards my first period class. I almost make it three steps before Landon's hand grabs my wrist and smirks.
