Something didn't register when she said that word. Something didn't quit make sense, seem real. I think Dr. Ridley notices my detachment from the real world.

"Brooke?"

"I'm sorry...what?" I mange to get out, my heat rate seems to sky rocket and I focus my eyes back on Dr. Ridley as she calmly looks at me, but with pity filled eyes.

"Your blood work results show you to be 3 weeks pregnant." She says this more slowly, as if consoling me which I felt would have helped if what those words meant, weren't such a big deal." We also found that your blood had signs of elements found in a werewolf's blood, knowing that you are part werewolf we took that inconsideration but its much stronger and we are assuming that the baby is werewolf."

My eyes shoot to hers and I try to detect a lie or even a joke but there is none." There has to be some mistake." I whisper into thin air and I watch as she sighs sadly.

"I'm sorry Brooke, but the results where checked over twice." She explains and I look down shaking my head. And then I stop stone cold.

Grant.

I don't remember taking my pill that morning. We weren't safe and now look at were I am.

But what shocks me even more is that the baby is werewolf. My genes wouldn't be dominate enough for a full werewolf baby, the only way for this to happen is if...

Grant is a werewolf. How did I not notice that, I have spent my whole life surround by them and the one guy I didn't notice is the guy I should have noticed the most in this whole messed up situation.

"Brooke?" I tilt my head up to look at Dr. Ridley as she looks down at me." I was going to talk you through a few things and find out your due date but we can do that tomorrow. I think it would be good to think this over and start fresh tomorrow, okay?"

All I can muster is the nod of my head and at that moment the door opens to the right, I don't have to look over to know it's a guard. Dr. Ridley helps me stand up as the guard puts on the blindfold and puts my wrists in the handcuffs. He is a bit gentler this time as he escorts me back to my room. I don't bother to count my steps and turns; the only thing on my mind is that eight letter word. Pregnant.

-.-..-.-.-.-.-.-.

I don't sleep well at all that night. Going through this gigantic puddle of crap I have made myself. All these questions in my brain buzzing in my ears and making my head find it nearly impossible to fall asleep.

If I weren't in this hellhole, still outside in the real free world how would Grant react? Would he turn his back, help... or be happy even? Did he even care that I walked out of his hotel room with out a goodbye or note? What am I kidding, hot werewolf guy, or course he wouldn't care I was probably just another one night stand.

But what makes me cry myself to sleep tonight is the fact that this baby is a werewolf, and when the rest of S.E.R.O knows I am pregnant, they are never letting me or the child out of their grasps. Ever. And I did that to my child who isn't even born yet.

-.---.-.-.---.-..-

The next day, as promised I was escorted back to Dr. Ridley office and she and I worked out my due date. It looks like the baby is expected around the 26th of February. Around another 8 months until the baby will be ripped away form my arms, trained and tested on by these good for nothing people.

Dr. Ridley takes me through some other things, explaining how she will check on me every week. Normally it would be every month but technically being human and this being a werewolf baby she wants to make sure all things run smoothly.
