Chapter Four: Tennis Balls Cause Me Detention

~Lane’s p.o.v~

“Duel monster cards can be grouped in to normal monster cards, fusion monster cards, ritual monster cards, effect monster cards, trap cards, and spell cards. Trap cards can be divided bye normal trap, counter trap, and continues traps. Spell cards can be separated into normal spells, counter spells, equip spells, quick play spells, ritual spells, and field spells.” Alex answered the question flawlessly.

“Prefect! Well done Alexis. Of course I wouldn’t expect anything less from one of my blue Obelisks” Dr. Crowler said full of pride. But to me it kinda creped me out.

“Yes Dr. Crowler.” Alexis said before sitting down.

“Hm. Now who should we question next?” Dr. Crowler asked as he scanned the room, obviously looking for someone who wouldn’t know the answer to the next question. “You! Syrus Truesdale!” Syrus gave a small yelp of surprise before standing up as fast as he could. “Explain to the class what a field spell is. Please” There was amusement in his voice. But then it was harsh “Lane Crow! Put that camera away” he practically yelled across the room. I kept my camera out none the less.

Syrus then began to say “Um, a field spell is uh . . . it’s the thing that effects . . The thing that is uh!”

That’s when a very rude Obelisk shouted out “common! Even preduelist’s know the answer to this you Slifer slacker!” In turn cause all the students but the reds to laugh.

“No! I know! It’s uh, uh,” Syrus said while blushing at not being able to answer the question.

“Relax Sy. You totally got this.” Jaden said in a calm voice. Inodded my head in agreement.

“I think not! Sit down.” Dr. Crowler told Sy. He then said “now would someone please give me the answer? Preferably some one not wearing red” he paused as his eyes fell on me again. “Ms. Crow! I thought I told you to put that camera away!” The whole class stated to laugh.

“I blew it! I’ve made all the Slifers look bad.

“I’m just taking notes, I mean come on! Get with the twenty first century. Oh, plus I have a note from Chancellery Shepard” I pulled out a peace of paper from my coat pocket that I had gotten from Shepard the day before “saying it’s ok for me to use my camera when ever I see fit. But if you want. I could turn the important parts of your lesson into a song, but I really don’t think you’d want me to play my guitar in the middle of class.” I said in a matter-o-fact tone. That’s right. I knew this guy was trouble. I came prepared.

“And you something teach. You really shouldn’t make fun of us Slifers like that. I mean I’m a Slifer, and I beat ya. So when you make fun of us, your really making fun of you’re self.” Jaden said. Dr. Crowler seemed really miffed that Jaden and I had stood up to him. But the rest of the Slifers just looked at us with pride.

(Ok, you don’t know that Dr. Crowler is thinking this but he is. I just don’t want to switch to his P.o.v I es way to lazy. ^_^)

‘That’s it! I will not tolerate those two Slackers for another second!’ Dr. Crowler thought to himself ‘But if I get rid of them, it’ll have to be separately. I can’t make it look suspicious. I’ll see too it that their taken down!’

=FF To Banner’s class=

“ so as some of you students know. My name is Professor Limen Banner. I specialize in some of the lesser known tactics of dueling. Some that a few might even consider to be unnatural.” Pr. Banner said as he introduced himself. However I couldn’t catch the last of his speech because Jaden and Syrus were talking with both them and Banner talking, needless to say I got really confused. Then everything went quiet as Pr. Banner caught Jaden’s eye. “Syrus! Would you please do me a favor and grab Pharaoh? Would you? Unless you are minnering as a scratch post.” I then looked down to see the cat I fed my fish to. I just smiled to myself and petted the fluffy fur that was rubbing up against Sy’s leg.
