Chapter Seven

~Lane’s p.o.v~

I was sound asleep when it happened. I drowsily started to wake up to the sound of lot of people stopping up the steps. The next thing I know there is a lot of knocking on my door and the door next door.

“Open up! Open these doors right now or we’ll bust them down!” Came a girl’s voice.

Now you see, in the Slifer Red dorms, the walls are paper thin, so when Jaden said “Oh, is that so? You and what army?” I didn’t only hear it, but so did the cranky woman outside our doors.

“The Disciplinary Action Squad army!” She shouted.

This was the point where I became wide awake. “What?!” I screamed as I jumped out of bed to answer the door. I opened my door the same time Jaden opened his.

“You two must be Jaden and Lane,” Said the scary lady. She then looked behind Jaden. “And that must be Syrus. All three of you are under campus arrest!”

“Huh? What’d we do?” Jaden asked.

“That will be made more than apparent at the interrogation!” This woman was no smiles what so ever.

Before we knew it, we were in front of three monitors. The school board was deciding what to do with us.

“What?!” Jaden, Syrus, and I said at the same time. “Suspended?”

“That’s what I suggest,” Said the lady on one of the monitors. “You trespassed into the abandoned dorm.  An anonymous letter from one of our faculty members confirms it. You must be punished so an example is set for all the students!”

“But what kind of example are we setting?” Asked Dr. Crowler, who was on one of the other monitors. “That we are a bunch of hard hearted tyrants? I say we arrange something a bit more sporting.”

“Sporting?” I asked.

“What do you mean by that?” continued Jaden.

“Well Jaden, off the top of my head, how about you partner up with Syrus in a tag duel, and Lane gets her own. Win and your clear, lose and your expelled.” Said Dr. Crowler smugly.

“Tag duel?” Jaden asked. “That sounds sweet!”

“B-b-but Jaden!” Syrus started nervously. “He said expelled!”

“Chancellor,” Dr. Crowler recaptured our attention. “I believe they’ve accepted the conditions!”

“Fine than I’ll arrange some opponents.” Said the chancellor.

“Oh now Chancellor! Don’t you fret about that! I’ll take care of all the particulates for the event!” He said creepily.

We were then excused. Jaden went back to the room to get the rest of his sleep and Syrus followed him. I just went back to my room. I wanted to check out the duel that gotten us in trouble in the first place.

Walking into my room, I hooked up my camera to my computer.  As I watched  the video, I felt a blush creep onto my face. Had Jaden really gone through all that trouble just to save me? Butterflies started to fill my stomach.

“It seems you’ve developed a liking for Master Jaden.” Silpheed said out of nowhere.

I nearly jumped out of my seat. “God Silph, you scar—WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEVELOPING FEELING?!”

“Simply that you are see Young Master Jaden as a compatible gentlemen caller.”

My face became redder and a started to glare at Silpheed. “You know Silph, If I knew it wouldn’t go through you, I would sooo throw something at you right now. Not a word of this, to anyone. Got it?” He simply nodded and left.
