Chapter Three: Red is so my color!

Recap: Jay and Sy just smiled. “No prob” they said. Jaden and Syrus began to talk while I strummed my guitar absentmindedly for awhile until some one game on the intercom.

“Students, if you look to your left window, you will see your new home away from home. Welcome to Duel Academy”

~Lane p.o.v~

It was when we landed that I noticed that Jaden and Syrus didn’t have they’re blazers yet. I then noticed that a lot of first years didn’t have they’re blazers. ‘Maybe it’s because I received mine personally from Mokuba. Oh well’ I thought to myself as I headed to the welcoming assembly. That’s where they started to hand out the blazers and it was so cool when I saw that Sy and Jay were in the same dorm as me. We all stud in the lecture as our chancellery began to speck and I started to film.

“Good morning and welcome my students. I am Chancellery Shepard, the head master here, and you are the best and brightest young duelists in the world. Now please, get your self settled in at you’re assigned dorms. I think you’ll find them quite comfortable. Depending on how you ranked of cores. Ha ha ha ha.” And with that the assembly was over.

Jaden, Syrus, and I were outside. Jaden and Syrus leaning against a stone, and me sitting on the nice green grass. “Well I don’t know about you two but it looks like I’m in the Slifer red dorm.” Jaden said. It was obvious that he didn’t know what his blazer ment.

“That’s cool. Same with me.” Sy said.

“Yeah, same here.” I said while thinking to myself, ‘I actually chose this dorm. I got to win that bet with Joey to keep o low pro.’

We then saw the British guy that was in my video. Then Jaden looked up and said “Hey! You in red too?” I mentally slapped myself. I would have banged my head against something if I wasn’t still rolling.

“Well now, let’s see. Yellow sleeves, yellow buttons, I don’t think so.” The British guy said.

“Oh! I get it. So that’s why Sy, Lay, and I are in red” Jaden said.

“Did you just call me Lay?” But I went unnoticed.

“Please don't tell me that you just figured that out now?” The guy said.

Jaden then got this hard look on his face “So what? Ever think I’m color blind?” He asked.

“Well no actually I didn’t. Are you color blind?” He asked. He then looked at me. “I’m Bastion Misawa.” He gave me a hard look; no he was looking at my blazer. I knew what he was thinking. I gave him a ‘To-be-explained-later ‘look.

“Heh ha ha. Nope, but I coulda been. See yeah around the dorms!” Jay said as Bastion started to walk off.

“I doubt that. You’re dorm’s over there.” He said as he pointed east.

As he walked off I knew what we had to do next. “Hey before we go see our dorm, Sy, take my camera.” I said as I handed my cam to Sy. He just looked at me in confusion but started taping none the less. “Jaden Yuki. I believe I owe you a duel” I said as I activated my duel disc.

Jaden got a smirk on his face. “Now you’re talking Lay.” He said as he also activated his disc.

“Duel” We both said.

“You ready to Rock?” I said. (Hey, if Jaden gets a catch phrase, so should Lane. It’s only fair!)

“Yeah. Get you’re game on!” he said.

“If you don’t mind, I’ll start.” I said. I looked at the five cards in my hand along with the one I just drew, all monsters.“I Summon Koumori Dragon in attack mode, and end my turn.” [ATK/1500 DEF/ 200]
